Quinn? What a joke that is.
I don't have a problem with that. BU and Coach Quinn had a very good year. The award was voted on by the league coaches, the same ones that predicted BU would finish 6th in the preseason poll. I did think Norm would be the runner up though.

I can't fathom why people voted Leaman and Cav over Bazin as runner up. That really made no sense.

Voss did the Beanpot title game, would not shock me at all if he did Saturday night's game, sadly.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo! I think he's somehow found a way to screw every team in HE at least once this year.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March Thread II

For any Lowell fans scoreboard watching tomorrow night...

The most important factors for Lowell to reach an at-large bid are as follows:

Root against St. Cloud all weekend

Lowell wants a Q/St. Lawrence ECAC final. If the Q beats Colgate in the finals we can still get in, it just makes it harder. Root for the Q

Anyone can win AH

Anyone besides Ferris State can win WCHA

Minnesota winning the B10 makes things easier, but Michigan/Michigan St can both win if no other favorite loses.

St. Cloud is the biggest factor on the weekend. In fact, if St. Cloud loses Friday and in the third place game, Lowell could even get in if they were to lose to UNH in the finals. St. Cloud losing twice drops them from consideration all together.

Of course, just win a third title and this is all moot. I'd prefer it that way.

Its finally game day. I'll see everyone at The Harp. Not sure if I will be able to find that Monty guy people keep on talking about :D

Officials for tomorrow's games.
Until last weekend, I'd never seen Briganti so he just pops up and starts doing key playoff matchups with national implications? Does he have a massive rep from somewhere? Glad to see Voss omitted, hopefully for Saturday as well. Also glad to see neither of the face-off *******es (Bernard and Riegeld).

Anyhow, they could be worse; as long as they don't decide the game one way or the other and call a good, consistent game, that's all I want.

For the record, we're doing a DC area game watch at the World of Beer in Arlington (Ballston)... I'll get there around 3:30-4. If you know anybody down here then let them know. I know its a bit late... but its for a worthy cause (that is, the cause of beer drinking and hockey)
