great season 'Hawks. to 3peat in the HE Championship gm.. (not to mention the titles)..nice run.. pretty special.

I've never heard of a team that didn't make the garden getting a spot on the all-tourney team

When Notre Dame isn't at the Garden, all other teams are supposed to ask, "Where's Notre Dame?"

Yep, it's in the new bi-laws that a ND player has to be put on the all tournie team.

It sucks you guys won't be in the tournament.

Wait! does that mean we don't have to genuflect anymore every time BC is mentioned?

If anyone wants to post about disrespect after they announced the All Tourney team I am on board.

After not expecting them to make it to tonight I was happy they did. Didn't see most of the play in the 2nd because they were at the other end (Sight lines where I was sitting were horrid). That was OK by me. Certainly thought the game was closer than the score and so impressed with the grit!

Not bad for a rebuilding season. It's too bad 21 wins wasn't good enough this year to advance. Proud of this team.

Tough game. Lowell had the energy, they just didn't have the execution. The breakout was really stifled by BU's forecheck. Passes weren't clean. They were woefully indecisive when they had odd man opportunities. Boyle didn't have a great game, but to be fair the defense wasn't doing him any favors out there.

Still, they never quit and the certainly exceeded anyone's rational expectations of this seasons. If 21-12-6 and a trip to the Hockey East finals is a Bazin down year, we have nothing to complain about.

Heckuva game, Lowell. Heckuva season. Congrats on your three-year championship-game run, and can't wait to see you guys in it next year.

**** shame for the train ride to end this early... I think this team belongs in the NCAAs... now I don't think we necessarily deserve to advance that far... but so it goes.

Good post Patronick. That pretty much sums it up. Thanks to the team, especially the seniors, for a fun season.

Quite true. Missed opportunities and indecisiveness. Certainly not putting this loss solely on Boyle. Even with some sloppy play I didn't feel like the boys ever quit and that's some consolation when considering preseason expectation. They are a good bunch and we as fans can be proud. It still hurts a bit though.

In 2001 Mike Pandolfo made the all-tournament team after scoring 5 goals in three games vs Providence in the quarterfinals. He lead all players in goals and was tied for the scoring lead with 5 points. Now with the first round added there will likely be more players who have outstanding tournaments but not make the Championship weekend.

ok, I knew that when I wrote it... I didn't want to come right out and whine that we got shutout of the all-tourney team.

Congrats to BU. Played a fantastic game last night. Patronick mentioned their forecheck, also their backchecking was pretty solid too. I can remember a couple of times UML came into the offensive zone, about to execute, and had the puck poked away from behind. Our guys seemed tentative, did not pass as well as they normally do, and seemed to be chasing the puck most of the night. Credit needs to be given to BU for an excellent game plan and execution of the game plan.

I am proud of this team and their accomplishments. They went much further than any of us expected. The ovation given by the fans after the post-game handshake was moving; we have some great fans. Good luck BU in the NCAAs. Make some noise.

You have a right to, though. Scoring goals on UMass over three games is nothing to really get excited about. Much less your team sucking and having to play UMass three times. Most of us in my area of the BU sections at least were very surprised there was an ND guy and no Lowell guy on the all-tournament team.
