I'm not sure what exactly you're asking. But there's no reason to skip recruiting the #2 league in the country. IMHO, the NAHL is better than the EJ. There are players everywhere, they just need to be found. So, was curious to hear people’s thoughts/opinions regarding the Riverhawk players from NAHL league. If my memory serves me correct, not too many former players came from this league in our history. Current roster of NAHL folks include:
Adam Chapie
AJ White
Christian Folin
Connor Hellebuyck
Hellebuyck and Folin have been great addition to the defense, and I have seen flashes of good play on Chapie. However, I haven’t seen or heard much on White.
Thoughts? And do you think this is a league to get future players from?

I don't think we've seen enough of Chapie or White yet to really judge them. I really like what Folin's bought, and Hellebuyck is proving himself right in front of us.
Well, if memory serves me correct, we never had many players from the NAHL, so wanted to hear peoples thoughts.I'm not sure what exactly you're asking.
OK, that makes sense.Well, if memory serves me correct, we never had many players from the NAHL, so wanted to hear peoples thoughts.
Well for a few years, it looked like we were heavily going after OPJHL kids. Then the last couple of years of MacDonald, you saw more USHL players coming. The USHL is considered the best league, by a mile, for college level.I was curious because I don't think many recruits coming in next year are from the USHL... and if the NAHL was a growing trend, what are peoples thoughts on the league.
Happy Birthday!Happy Birthday Patman!!
Very, very helpful - thanks so much! From what I've heard and seen the order is:
USHL
BCHL
NAHL
Then the OPJHL, EJHL, CJHL, SJHL, AJHL, etc.
Of the recruits currently known to be coming in next year, 1 each from the EJHL, BCHL and USHL. I doubt Shea will come next year, he'll be pushed to '14 (just a guess). I can see another BCHL player coming in '13 though.
Go-UML and MaryK are as well, that's all I know.Is anyone heading to Burlington this weekend?
I wasn't there. I have seen though at times when teams play back to back (on one ice), the first night, the two teams don't shake hands. That's the only occasion (outside of fights at the end of the game) that I've seen it.Does anyone know what the reason ( other than disappointment in losing ) for Clarkson leaving the ice directly after the game Friday? No handshakes, no crowd acknowledgement .. just straight to the locker room?
Welcome.Very, very helpful - thanks so much!
This was the reason we thought when we saw it. Not unusual and it wasn't like one team snubbed the other doing it and there was certainly no acrimony and they immediately lined up for the handshake on Sat nite.I wasn't there.
