Completely off topic, anyone in Bangor area have t mobile for cell carrier, if so how is coverage? Maps say it’s good, but real life may say otherwise?

I work in IT in Bangor and one of my jobs is maintaining the company cells. T mobile isn't bad but has alot of drop zones. We have alot of people in our sister company complain about it. The main business uses Verizon and everyone has no complaints at all. T mobile is decent nationwide but in Bangor and Maine most of our people don't care for it.

Thanks, the coverage map show ultra wide all over Bangor, I figured it was overstated. I have Verizon now and have for many years, the difference in cost is 40 bucks a month so its worth asking about.

Big weekend for Maine...need wins as PC,UMass and UNH are close behind...Maine @ 3rd place could very well slide out of that position to either 4th/5th/6th...if Maine loses out to VT...and the other three teams sweep their weekend series...first up Merrimack v. PC tonight...[Thur. Game]...W's needed for the Go Blue Crew...

The whole cell phone plan thing is a jungle. Uscell (hockey sponsor) plan here, 29$ month no usage limits. Good coverage in maine except remote areas, Not the best coverage for travelling nationally when I was working and going all over.

Have USCELL also...@$40+... Have no complaints to date.

US Cell also. No complaints. 5G in greater Bangor/Brewer/Newport areas, a 5G tower near my house 20 miles NW of Bangor.
When we travel, also no issues.

The Warden went to Spectrum for $29.99/line for her and her 25+YO "kids" and not a penny more in fees or taxes. Been nearly a year and zero issues. I'd do it myself, but I'm far too lazy to make the effort.

Anyone know which cell phone company works best in Alfond?

Is there a game tonight?

None of them lol..I have Verizon and when that building is packed the service sucks, and I assume it's because of all the people in a closed in area pounding the network towers.

Tonight @ Vermont

Tomorrow @ Vermont

HUGE 6 points. Honestly if they want 3rd or 4th they need to sweep this weekend.

Huge weekend is a understatement...6 points big...it's pressure time...well really it has been the past few weeks...can't look forward to UMass series...need to get business done this weekend...no sugar coating it.

This is mostly accurate. My cellphone reception usually is terrible at the Alfond during a game. Back when I was covering the team it would take forever to post an update to Twitter or Facebook, and forget going live. Even using the university's internet connection wasn't great.

I did notice on my last trip up my reception was much, much better. I use Consumer Cellular (which I believe uses AT&T towers)

Bring back UNICEL. You could be buried alive, encased in concrete, within 30 miles of Bangor and you'd have perfect reception.

Since the start of Feb, opponents have a +20 shot differential in the third period against that Black Bears. Doesn't seem like much, but for a team that is 3-5 in those games that disparity definitely adds up.

Special teams battle is the biggest thing I'm watching out for tonight. Statistically speaking Vermont's PP converts at 10.2% which is dead last in the country, so hopefully if Maine does take penalties they can minimize the damage. Let's not forget that in the HE Playoff game last year Maine gave up 2 PPG to Vermont's 54th ranked PP (including the dagger about mid-way through the third).

On paper this should be a sweep for Maine but with the recent results I'd be happy with 4 points at the Gutt.

I had Unicel for many years, then US cell but US cell sucked at my house so I switched to Verizon. I have had multiple bag phones, Nokia, Motorola flip an since then a few different models of Samsung. I keep my phones for as long as I can, don't need latest and greatest, just want to lower what I pay per month.
