UMaine Hockey 23 - 24: The Barr Crawl to Glory!!!

When Maine went up 1-0, PC found another gear. Same thing happened when Maine went up 2-0, this time PC found the net. Even game so far
 
Nate is getting frustrated.

I'd feel much better if Maine got a third so this final 5 minutes aren't quite so stressful.

Edit: and the frustration grows... He didn't say a word to the team during that TVTO

Not sure how they didn’t give Boija the number 1 star of the game?!?! Califiore got it.

I was impressed they fixed the scoreboard in about two minutes. Lowere it to the ice level and popped a new glass plate in its place.

I dont think Ive ever seen a goalie get the #1 star unless he pitched a shutout, at least in college. It's kind of silly, but it's something Ive noticed for a long time.

Really good game tonight, as I thought it would be. Maine made it hard on themselves in the third, but they got the W. Another tomorrow would be massive, and I would think would give them a stranglehold on 3rd place in HE.
 
Could've been a blowout after the 1st. Maine did everything necessary to win, and then not so much.

Booya was clearly the difference in the 3rd.

Great win, I'll go to bed happy.

I think Leamen knows his team really took it to Maine in the third and couldn’t tie it up. Hopefully Maine skaters play better tomorrow night. They were real sloppy with the puck all night. They won without playing their A game. It is encouraging what good goaltending can do with this team in front of the Boija.

I agree with you but it was an a hole move by him. And providence seemed to get the benefit of the penalty calls all night
 
I wish we bugged the visitor's locker room because I'd love to hear what Nate is telling his team right now, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to be there in person.
 
No doubt PC had Maine on the ropes in 3rd or at least for half of it. Maine looked better at about the 10 minute mark. PC seemed to slow down some?? Boija, how does he do on the 2nd night of a weekend, we don't know but I'm guessing we find out. Maine really needs some bigger bodies.

The two short spark plugs scored the goals though.

I had enough of big lumbering slow pokes from the Gendron years.

The smaller line up gives the more speed for odd man rushes and nifty stop and go in zone on the cycling. I’d love to see Maine have a pack of small guys that could operate like ps’d off hornets.

I didn't think the big guys on UConn or PC were slow and lumbering? Maine got blown of the puck all night especially after Maine scored and then in the 3rd.
