In fairness, it's all guess work when these commitments come down the pike anyways. Like Wally always says, has anyone actually seen these kids play?

I just kind of take issue with the blanket statement that because there's USHL kids committed this regime is recruiting well.

Win some games or find someone who can, bottom line.

The top 5 recruits (IMO) committed to Maine are from the USHL (2), NAHL, NCDC & New England Prep. 4 different leagues.

Maine's last twenty goal scorers were Abbott and Diamond in 2011-12. Flynn had 20 the year before. Before that? It's all the way back to Josh Soares in 2006-07.

Maine looked pretty good in the first against Lowell, but unfortunately couldn't make it count. It's encouraging to see Maine look so solid against a decent team though.

I remember coming back from the Hockey East Championship in 2012 and stopping at the rest stop in Kennebunk (I was in the Naked 5 at the time) and the team had also stopped there. Will came right up to us and thanked us for being so dedicated to the team and we had a very nice conversation with him. He is a genuine, stand-up guy and I'm extremely happy that he's getting his shot in the NHL.

I hope there are some strong words during the intermission for Tiru. W T F is he doing out there. He completely gave Lowell two goals. Someone might want to have a look at his cell phone.

I agree. I usually pick on Muehlbauer, but Tuiraniemi has looked awful tonight.

Me too. He has the tools to be an everyday player at that level. ( Not an all-star, mind you, but a reliable piece of the puzzle.)

Kinda surprised that it's taken this long, but I'll be following him, just as I do Flynn, Shore, Goose, Darling, Howard, Bish, et al.

Does anyone think that any player from this team has a snowball's chance..? I'm gonna write Timmy, and ask him to come back! ( Sorry, there I go again. :p )

Stick a fork in them, they are what we thought they were, bottom feeders in hockey east. Swayman will have to be the savior for this team to do anything.

Maine was in the game and had there chances, comes down to they have let it get to them {road record and play}...no leadership to take over and gut out a win. Its always close at times but can't finish it...I had hopes for a better season {as in a 7th or 8th place finish in Hockey East}...with that said.

On a different NOTE: Has anyone with season tickets received there tickets for the Portland game versus BU..? Usually sent out by the University or from Portland..? Reason I wonder as I hope its not through the U, still waiting for my Football renewal form and my hockey season tickets, which they assured me they mailed out.
