His experience is a good thing. I took the time to go to his first press conference when he was hired. I talked to him in Alfond parking lot before he stood up at podium to talk to reporters. I thought it would be a good hire. I realize the cupboard was bare and I see better players coming to Orono. After 5 years we see a middle of the pack HE team that beat BU once for there only win against a team above .500, that isn't much to get excited about if you ask me. Looking at his 5 years here I don't see much to think he is going to get the ship back on top. Maybe that's more than we can hope for ???

Could still see 75% of the Big Four at the Garden.
Quick question for you guys...
I seem to recall that it took longer than usual for Maine to select captains for this year's team. Was the process different or am I mistaken?
Never understood why the rush to name captains in March or April.
Thanks and good luck this weekend. Could still see 75% of the Big Four at the Garden.
That was a good paring, better than keeper/ binner were.If I reviewed stats correctly, the Michel/Keeper pairing was on the ice for 6 of the 7 goals scored against UNH.
I assume this means we will see this pairing again this weekend.
Thought I heard that Red wanted the team including freshmen to choose captains, not coaches. It did take a while, so freshmen could spend some time on the ice get to know the boys and all that. Have a few cold ones together too I suppose.

C's = Pearson/Holway -- A's = Michel/DohertySpeaking of captains, though maybe a bit early, who could you guys see getting letters next year? If they were to retain the 2 C’s 2 A’s they had this year, I would expect Pearson to keep his C, Michel to be moved up to a C, and some combination of Fossier, Holway, and Robbins to get the A’s.

Has anyone seen a TV or webcast schedule for the games this weekend?
All quarterfinal games must be purchased at the Hockey East Website. It's an online stream. Last year there were four "boxes" on the screen. You clicked on one game to make it active (you could hear the audio while still watching the other three), or you can make it full size if you only want to see that one game. The "all-access" plan is $69.95 for all games.
No free TV until the semi-finals and finals which I believe will be telecast on NESN.

Thanks, guess I'll pass on the $70 stream. Too bad, I'm sure NESN or ESPN would love to have the rights to televise these games.
I was remiss in mentioning you can also buy individual games for $9.95 each. I'm sure that's more palatable. So if you only want to see your team the most it would cost you is $29.85 (if the series goes the limit).
Sorry about that - I didn't mean to imply that buying the "series" was the ONLY option...
