How do we make this happen? Whitehead is done... esp when he is so excited about BARELY winning a game that should have been a blown out

Here is a really scary scenario: The team finally starts to jell a bit more with the freshman and second line producing consistently. .....And Sullivan finally starts to get it by not chasing pucks outside the net. .....And they finish 4-5th in Hoc. East. ......And the coach secures his job for yet another year. Is this at least possible? I'm afraid they have just enough talent to do just that. Maybe.

Not a chance. Timmay's got the boys thinking the 4 points are in the bag this weekend against Vermont. Vermont just took 4 of a possible 6 points last week and is entering the weekend with momentum. Meanwhile, Timmay's running around the Alfond with a big grin because they beat a high school team and a never-ran EZAC team. Perfectly set up for a couple of trap games. Buyout before the Florida trip anyone?!

If he can do that, good for him. I could care who coaches the team as long as they are successful.

I wouldn't consider 4-5th too successful. Depends on how far out from the top couple places I guess.

Simple, just take the money you would spend on Maine hockey tickets and send it to Steve Abbott to buy out TW's contract.

The way this team is looking, looks pretty successful to me:D I think people are taking this way to personally, if Tim can win I'm all for it, if he can't I'm all for him going down the road. My belief is he isn't going to win, I think the last 5 years show that.

Anyone heard if Sullivan's leg injury is something worrisome or just an ache?

I'd rather not imagine having to see Seeley and Marty this weekend.

Edit: Also, that "ifonlyhehadmolestedkids" tag shouldn't have made me laugh as hard as it did. Serious rep to whoever did that.

Have not seen anything or heard anything since the game on Saturday night @ Portland...article in the BDNews has proclaimed Sullivan as the #1 guy between the pipes, with that said there was no mention of any injury to Sullivan.

Just be another excuse for Timmay if Sullivan is hurt.

I still care but not enough to pay money to attend any games until a coaching change is made. I would also like to encourage anyone that cares about this hockey program to give Tim a call and ecnourage him to step down for the good of the hockey program.

207-581-1108 this is in fact Tim's phone number at Umaine I didn't believe it until I called and got his voicemail. Instead of posting on here like some of you have for years complaining on a message board maybe call and talk to the man yourselfs?

Also for those of you who have continued to make donations and also kept your season tickets you have no right to complain about the coach. Your complaining isn't going to help things on here but if you call the coach and complain to members of the Umaine braintrust who has power then maybe change can happen.

I don't see the point in calling Whitehead. Unless the idea is to literally run him out of town. That would be fun for about 4 minutes. Until you realize that, these days, the Maine job will be a hard enough sell as it is. No point in making the program and boosters look unprofessional.

So I have no plans to make a stink at the Florida games. It's not going to help anything, and it isn't fair to the players.

Hey - I haven't changed my USCHO signature in years. I can be patient and leave it up for one more.

I'm not sayin its likely they finish 4-5th, I'm sayin they got a chance. I'd say MM,BC,and BU have the top 3 slots, and perhaps UNH 4th. Its not ludicrous to think we could still challenge Lowell, NE, and UMass for the 5th slot. I for one hope its not the case. Again, the bad alchy has to hit bottom and bounce repeatedly before the road to recovery can be realized.

Re: UMaine, 2011-2012 season thread, does anyone care anymore?

For those concerned Maine finishes too high, which keeps Timmy around another year or two. I agree this is a big concern. Maine might be terrible. They might only have one line with scary bad goaltending and defense, but look around the rest of the league. UVM and UMass stink. NU was rock bottom until they won a few games lately. UML and PC are improved, but I think they'll fall back to Earth.

If we get swept by stinky UVM this weekend.......what does that make us???.......super-stinky?
