UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

Great game.

Congrats to the Dogs!

The only Wolverine I feel bad for is Hunwick. Great story and he did enough and had no chance on that last one.

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

Congratulations to the UMD Bulldogs on your first NCAA National Championship! Party time.....Yabadabadooooo.....!!!!!:D

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

This longtime UMD season ticket holder is extremely happy. Don't post here much anymore due to life being too busy, but just wanted to say darn it's nice to finally win the big one. :D

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

JT Brown was voted most outstanding player. Not really a surprise he was incredible tonight. I do feel bad for the Michigan goalie, he was great in the Frozen Four.

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

Only the 121st best football program? Ha!! Hardly!! That's just everybody at the bowl subdivision level. You're totally missed accounting for the playoff subdivision football programs, or D1-AA if you prefer. You know, the level that appalachian state plays at. Appy was down this year, but they still would have cleaned up in the MAC, which is bowl subdivision. That, and I do believe that Western Kentucky joined the bowl subdivision to make them the 121st school in the bowl subdivision. You should have said 122nd! Ha! Go back to Walmart and get some real learning!

Way to call yourself out as a bigger loser than you are, but congrats to Duluth Hockey for winning the National Championship.

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

I am SO pumped, we'll see everybody on Wednesday! Way to go Dogs! Two national titles in the same academic year and the first new NCAA Men's Hockey Champion since 1993!

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

Congrats to UMD, but let's talk about what's really important here:

Is Buick ****ing stingy or what? I don't think there was enough room to fit a golf ball through that hole, much less a puck.

Hunwick was very good, and the only reason made the finals and was in OT with a chance to win it. Duluth was the better team tonite and deserved the win. Congrats!!

It's you who can't even insult me properly here. And then there's the generic name calling. That's just a sign of weakness there Walmart. Call me back when you've got an original insult for me.

And Congrats to UMD for becoming the latest school to earn an NCAA title in hockey and will now force the NCAA to have to hang another banner every year at the Frozen Four.

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

What a great Championship game and awesome effort from tUMD to bring home the title.

Re: UMAA vs UMD for all the marbles

Congratulations, Bulldogs!! That was a job well done in overtime.

When UMD came into the WCHA in '65, I ran the pressbox for Michigan hockey games and wondered how long it would take the "new guys" to get their first national championship. I was just browsing Wikipedia around 10:30 and it said, "On April 9, 2011, the Bulldogs beat the Michigan Wolverines in overtime 3-2 to win their first national championship in hockey." Thank you for finally settling that.
