He's a 16 year old. How is it he was listed as a UConn recruit? He gave some sort of verbal that means next to nothing at that age?

Good to see UConn Huskies Hockey introduced at the Boise State game today. And that opening series against Penn State is getting close!!

A brief blurb in the Capital Project Administration September 14th Town Hall Presentation indicated that a 185,000 GSF arena is planned. No additional information provided. I don't know how this proposed arena compares to other hockey arenas in HE. The new proposed student recreational complex is scheduled to be a 200,000 GSF building. It appears that the new arena will be an impressive building.

A 185,000 GSF barn sounds like a 5000 to 6000 seating capacity. QU's TD Bank Barn is 185,000 GSF for both hockey and basketball.

Three days away from the real thing!!! Hard to believe the Hockey East era is finally here, felt like a million years ago the announcement was made. I managed to catch some of the game Sunday. Obviously you can't draw a lot from it, but boy could you already see the difference in talent level. Players were faster and the puck movement was already crisper. Going to be fun to watch this baby develop over the next few seasons.

Anyone know what the "major announcement" will be from UCONN Athletics today? It was all over Twitter yesterday the the Hartford Whalers Booster Club has given UCONN permission to use "Brass Bonanza" as the song played after a goal.

Yesterday was the soccer donation, Friday is the basketball center naming reveal, so I don't think these have to do with hockey beyond the Brass Bonanza announcement. I'm praying for a BU shutout in Hartford or that's going to be a very difficult time.
