UAH would have probably been much better-off with a #8 seed in more ways than one. I'd recommend a 6-team playoff with the top two getting first-round byes. UAH traveling to Houghton is a waste of time and money.

Did UAH bus to Houghton, or did the league give them some combination of flight/ground transport?

I haven't seen anyone to ask, but I'm going to bet that they went by bus, because the travel day just isn't that much different.

The league flew the boys up there. I'm not sure if that was charter or standard. I'm betting standard because the players won't be back until Monday night. (I got this from a player's girlfriend.)

That was an amazing display of team hockey. I have seen UAH play in a lot of venues and in a lot of situations, but I have never, ever seen them play like that —*and I broadcast the NCAA game in 2007.

Corbett said in the pregame that they went in two groups, so that means they flew commercial.

That was a gutsy determined effort tonight. Those are the teams with heart that make the WCHA a good league. An outstanding performance that deserved better than you ultimately got, and the cliche is appropriate that neither team by that point deserved to lose.

Totally impressive. Glad you got to fly up, makes it a lot better. Will this get any publicity in Huntsville?

Some of the local TV sports guys RT'd it, but the highlights package wasn't available until long after the game was over. Our paper no longer covers the team because they're just barely holding on. We're pretty much it for hockey coverage in Huntsville.

You better hope there were no Anaheim scouts there last night. We lost a great freshman goalie that way (in the playoffs against the Gophers years ago).

Congrats to UAH for a great effort this season. That overtime game in the playoffs was something.

If you write a short article, I'm pretty sure they will print it. They just don't want to spend money on a reporter. But send them a release, or get your sports information guy to do it.

I know they don't show it on the feed, but we did not do the traditional sieveing of Guerriero during introductions. We have him a bowing "We're not worthy" instead.

Much better series than the first one this year for sure! We even learned some Slovakian from Buri :)
