UAH Hockey 2012-13: Still breathing

Re: UAH Hockey 2012-13: Still breathing

yes the news wcha does...But I am rootin' for the Chargers to get in..but maybe it will be 2014-15???? but ya never know...probably already have a schedule lined up for next season too??? Fairbanks is on your side, dunno about Anchorage..

Re: UAH Hockey 2012-13: Still breathing

I wouldn't be surprised if, should UAH make it into the WCHA (and we all hope they do), they would start in 2014-15. After all, I'm sure the league already has everything situated for next year, and adding a team at the last second would complicate matters.

Depends on who all scheduled games with UAH. It's been made public that some New WCHA teams have non-conference games with UAH scheduled... unless they are accepted then those become conference dates. UAH could also be accepted as a partial member for 13-14 where they are scheduled as often as they can and then become full members for 14-15.

Non-conference schedule changes happen all the time. -

The 2013-14 WCHA conference schedule is pretty well done, and most schools have their non-conference schedules done as well.

Re: UAH Hockey 2012-13: Still breathing

A schedule is in the works. I haven't talked to the coaches to find out who's on it and how much will be here. I'd expect 10-12 games at most unless the WCHA comes through AND for next season.

Our cheerleaders are useless.

I agree on the cheerleaders, however, my seven year old daughter is all about the blue horse and the cheerleaders. Those things help to bring families out to the games,or at least make them ever so *slightly* more motivated. Hugs and high-fives from Blue go a long way with the under nine years old crowd. That makes things easier for the paying-for-the-tickets parents crowd.

Great news for you guys, good to see the program saved, it's better for the sport as a whole for them to be there and competing at the highest level.

Re: UAH Hockey 2012-13: Still breathing

I can confirm that we're in for next season. I had heard on Saturday that we would know today, and I was going to put that here today and didn't.
