I imagine that you have all heard that Lasse Uusivirta decided to leave the country following his legal troubles.

Are the troubles still pending or are they closed?
So, he left, and they don't want to pay to extradite him?
The Dubuque Fighting Saints announced that defenseman Brandon Carlson has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey beginning next season at the University of Alabama-Huntsville.

Where's a good place to stay in Huntsville, while catching a series? Also looking for good food.
Dreamland BBQ
We stayed at the Embassy a few years back when Lowell made the trip to Huntsville. As you mentioned it's right next door to the VBC. The room price included a nice breakfast each morning and they also had a Manager's Social every night with drinks (mixed drinks too) and snacks. We would gather to have a drink before walking over to the VBC for the game. We also took advantage of their shuttle service which dropped us off at a local restaurant and picked us up when we were done. I thought the Embassy was great and the price wasn't bad either.I knew that was coming.
The best places to stay by the rink are, in decreasing order of price and distance: Embassy Suites (connected to the VBC), Springhill Suites (behind the VBC), and the Holiday Inn (<0.5 mi walk). If you want craft beer + food, Below the Radar on Holmes Ave. downtown is a good spot. If you want my exhaustive list, I'll c&p from a message that I sent my brother the other day. He has the nerve to come to town when I'll be gone. GFM

Brand new to the forum, looking to learn about UAH Hockey. Grew up in Atlanta, played with a number of guys on the team and follow the program's progress closely. Very excited to see this new incoming group of recruits. I was wondering if any of you guys knew more information on these guys other than what you get on Heisenberg's list and hockeydb.com. What are their expected roles coming in? Is there someone in the group who can supplant Lysaght's scoring? Going to miss him dearly. Thanks
