Re: UAH Dog Days of Summer 2010: All By Myself....

Hey Mike, Sebastion isn't from the Motor City, he and Blake of Wisconsin are from Brentwood Tennessee.

Re: UAH Dog Days of Summer 2010: All By Myself....

Notes from the 2010 Hockey Banquet last night:

Talbie got all the awards you'd expect him to get.

Andrew Coburn is graduating early and going to go play in Europe.

Matti Jarvinen is going back to Finland to play professionally. Don't know if this means SM-Liiga or not. Have heard he'll be in his hometown of Espoo; the Blues are the only hockey team I know of from there.

Neil Ruffini got most improved. Wholeheartedly agree.

Will be following up my goalie discussion with thoughts on the blueliners and the forwards. Losing Coburn + Jarvinen puts UAH down to two experienced centers, but I'll take that being Cseter and Ruffini.

Onward and upward!

Thanks Geof - did the coaches have an idea the two forwards were leaving? Not a great time of the year to be recruiting to replace two of the top scorers for next fall.

Re: UAH Dog Days of Summer 2010: All By Myself....

On a UAH note: Jared Ross has been recalled to PHI to play with the Flyers against the Bruins.

Please note that, as a Bruins fan for longer than I've been affiliated with the University, I am highly conflicted by this occurrence.

You want Ross to have multi point games every time he plays, but the Bruins eek out the series...... ;)

Yay Jared!!!!!!! Good for him. And while I'm a Penguins fan first, I am also a fan of Brian Boucher and Jared Ross. So here's to the Penguins and Flyers meeting in the Eastern Conference Finals. lol.

Great to see another former Gladiator back in the NHL. As for Jared taking on Chara ... I could see Chara going out with a knee injury after Jared lands a haymaker. :D ;)

BTW, thought I would pop in here since AHA does not have a thread going and all the talk on the RIT thread is about styrofoam peanuts ... exciting stuff, eh?
