Since the Cincinnati Cyclones hold dual affiliation with Nashville and Montreal, I would not be opposed to this signing. :)

/Still miffed I missed Bruuuuuuuuuce a couple of years ago in the Kelly Cup final.

I like seeing any CHA player get a shot at the pros... Maybe he'll make it. Anyone joining former CHA teams next year will not qualify though... Only the next three seasons will we graduate, or at least move on, CHA players. Best of luck to all of them. They had the guts to join a dying league. :(

I like big defensemen... we've had several in the past, like Schrieber, Winchester, and Butler to name a few, and they're always fun to watch and can put the really big hits on an opposing team. Hopefully, Gatt will grow into that kind of role and at 6'3" and 195 now, he can only get stronger with a real strength training regimen. Now, if it turns out he has a killer slap shot to go with it, well, that's just gravey... Way to go coaches!!!

I think I'd like to see Miami go all the way this year... it wouldn't look to bad for us if the National Champion only beat us by one goal... with the help of some really bad reffing too...

Wait ... did Rosie go to DCC too? I know that he and Roscoe were Mr. Michigan back-to-back years, but I can't remember if they played HS hockey together.

Either way, Rosie was a year ahead of Roscoe in HS and played juniors a year, which is how they entered as freshmen together.

[Insert fun story about how UAH stole both Roscoe and Muny from Michigan State, and that our current coaching staff is all Spartans and Chargers.]

Geof, can you lay off the nicknames? You are one of two people here that get major wood for independent-team hockey, so the rest of us in hockey-rich states would appreciate using real names. Thanks!

Well, we are talking UAH. I see DU people talking about "Chevy" and not Chevrie. If this was still a CHA thread, I'd be using proper names and all that.

Roscoe would be Jared Ross. Rosie is Keith Rowe, Jared's one-time linemate. Both were Mr. Michigan in hockey before coming to UAH. Muny is Scott Munroe, who CHA fans should be well-acquainted with.

That's only because Mike started the thread before I did...:D I would have kept the CHA alive as College Hockey Alabama... just as Cole coined it.;)
