UAA VS St. Cloud Nov 19-20

Re: UAA VS St. Cloud Nov 19-20

Really? Really?

I didn't know that there were WCHA fans who thought we sucked less than someone (well except Yale).

Michigan Tech usually thinks they suck more than you.

It was probably about this time last year - maybe a week or two later when I had to intervene and suggest to Euro and a few others to take a deep breath and calm down about the Huskies. They were 5-5-2 at this point last year losing to Michigan Tech and a tie at home with Union and of course were swept on the road at Miami.

They are now 4-6-2 but with a road series at UAA this weekend. That was pretty much the salve that cured the Huskies ills last year and they proceeded on a pretty successful run from that point on. Certainly there are some issues here mainly the power play and anemic SOG stats to start off many games. But, it's a team with alot of depth that should continue to improve the deeper they get into the season.

I need to see how this team reacts in Alaska while they are still within striking distance in the league standings. It's pretty much gut check time and if they can get their act together on the PP and play a much more aggressive rather than reactive game they'll be OK.

It's frustrating to watch the lapses where they don't move their feet and that's something completely under their control. And, you can't have 12-15 SOG thru the mid point of the game and expect to have much more than a goal on the board.

They're too good of a squad not to think they can't turn this thing around.

Never said they couldn't turn it around, they've just done nothing to this point to make anyone believe they can.

Well - yes they have. The 60 minute effort vs a very good Miami team in the tie and the fact they were up 3-1 over a very good UNO team before they imploded is an indication they can compete with anyone. It's pretty basic stuff right now - committed team effort for 60 minutes, improved power play and more SOG. Two of the three mentioned are easily solved.

Doubtless Husky Fan Roy and waterlover will be nowhere to be seen in this thread. Is this the kind of virtual hockey world we want to live in, I ask you ... is it? A virtual world where DL imposes his creepy old self on digitalized photographic representations of scantily-clad barely legals? Where a wayward Cloudian product of Stearns County Syndrome and michigan resident still posing as his wife through a sockpuppet co-mingle with the esteemed Pope? I'm telling you ... my colon is in perfect health and I refuse to bow to the comma gods for that previous sentence. Are we to rely on TB to save us? I fear no amount of LiiT's can save this thread from inevitably boring the amorphous conglomeration to it's ultimate and unrighteous virtual death.

Yep, this thread is screwed! HFR is to busy screwing himself these days since that is the only tail he can get.:D Waterlover is to good to post on internet message boards any more so we won't see him either. I guess you are stuck with me.....

Hey that's ok ... I'm not algebra genius but (TB+Pope) > 2(rsquared x Rabib)

ammirite? Maybe some educated math person will come in and correct both my formula and my assumptions but for now I'm going with that.

So you say your wife has completely cut off Roy? Man .. what's up her butt?

When Wisconsin comes to play, do any of their players ever get caught trying to hump those tame town moose, or meeses, as the case may be?

Yes, every time. But only the road killed ones for some reason. IIRC ... it was (and I have been known to be wrong once in a while) Jake Dowell that started the beastiality-necrophilia tradition.

Is that beastinecrophilia or necrobeastiality?

I think it depends on whether the moose is still warm or not.

I'm sorry, did you just cite blowing a two goal lead at home in the second half of a game as reason to believe they can do well this weekend? I never said they can't compete with teams, I think they can compete with anyone. I'd like them to start BEATING and not competing with teams. And if they're so easily solved, take Bob's job and make him just go out and recruit.

Re: UAA VS St. Cloud Nov 19-20

Mt. Grant and Mt. Wiles have been rumbling a bit but so far only sputtered and spewed intermittently. I'm sure they'd both like to fill the skies with ash this weekend though. Geologists are predicting that a large upwelling of magma is working it's way up and into both of those mountains. Geophysics and seismicity are evolving sciences though and it's always tough to be precise about such temperature fluctuations deep within these subduction zonal plate boundaries.

Anyone know if the Bluffskies hit the friendly skies on Wednesday or did they leave this morning?

Well now that you and your constant boner for me have showed up, things might be looking up eh? I mean your constant anti-me drone isn't inane at all. Huh? I hear Johnny Hill is looking for work ... apparently on his resume' it says .. "prospective employers must interview my wife Patsy." Good on him for making that clear up front finally, you know?

He's looking for work? I hear there is an opening for Spirit the Seawolf. Hill knows how to skate! ;)
