UAA Seawolves Vs. UND - The Final Battle

Re: UAA Seawolves Vs. UND - The Final Battle

Umm, did you watch tonights game? Eat your words. UND was lucky to get the tie. Having said that, that was one of the most entertaining games I've seen in a long time. UAA really took the crowd out of it. If they play like that every game they will be very successful.

Donald, I agree with you about Williams and Tatchell. Good players that will only get better. Matt Bailey was on fire tonight, and Murphy also had a strong game. We have a lot to look forward to this season.

Hard work almost always gets rewarded with a little luck.

Something to keep in mind as the season wears on for both teams.

Hee. And Schloss said about the exact opposite. It was a bland game that became exciting towards the end.

UND probably was lucky to get a tie, but from what I listened to UAA was lucky to escape the OT with the tie.

Give all the credit to AA. They lulled the Sioux to sleep and it almost payed off with 2 points. They won most the one on one battles and quite frankly were the better team tonight. Felt like a loss so I will take the tie.

And exactly what did he say, other than complain about the officiating, say that UND was getting killed on the draws, UAA playing with lots of energy, the game is intense, etc.

He ends by saying it was a "boring" game for 55 minutes. Really? Maybe boring for him because UND was out played for much of the game. The TV announcers certainly didn't have that attitude, they were praising UAA all night long. Nice try Dirty.

Hee! One of the few posts I make in this thread when I am not just trying to annoy UAA fans and it's the one that gets a reaction. I just found it amusing that Suze had such a different outlook on the game from Scloss. Nothing more. I didn't think it sounded like that boring of a game. A game UND forgot was 60 minutes while the other team did not, just like last Saturday, yes. But not really a boring game.

Re: UAA Seawolves Vs. UND - The Final Battle

First off, I wanted to say that Rocco Grimaldi is amazing. Sioux, err, ND fans should enjoy his 1 full year of college. I can't remember seeing a player move like him, maybe Bill Sweatt. Best of luck to ND fans for the duration of the season. They definitely have the tools to go deep.

Secondly, UAA should be very satisfied with their play tonight. Bailey continues to get stronger. Tatchell and Williams seem to be very sound already. Gunderson played well enough to win tonight.

And for the record, I am gonna miss the American Tire commercials and the rolling tire. I still don't understand where the tire gets the momentum to roll though, I've been to Grand Forks.

Suze I thought UAA played well tonight and to quote Hakstol, "they were tenacious." I thought they played gritty and got in the shooting lanes and forechecked hard. Scott Allen, Alex Gellert were pretty good all weekend long as well as Matt Bailey was pretty good in the face-off circle all weekend long.

I was able to watch the game on TV and I thought this was the best game I've seen UAA play in a long time. A full 60 minutes of hockey. Their freshmen don't look like freshmen. Considering the talent on the UND team, I am very encouraged by the outcome. I wanted the win, but have to settle for the tie.

That's what your coach said as well, he was happy with his team's play tonight.

He should be. They earned that point. In OT, Hennesy was saying that even though he wanted UND to win, it would be shame for UAA not to come away with something for how well they played tonight.

Good point except for the "going deep" part. They definitely have lots of "tools" on their team.;)
Not a lot of thought went into this one, did it? :p

Re: UAA Seawolves Vs. UND - The Final Battle

I shall decree; "Tech Wins" shall be named "UAA Wins". You're welcome everybody.
