Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

It's August and its starting to get a little cooler. Which means hockey is around the corner.

Alaska hockey, any meet n greet with Thomas planned for the community?

My captain picks
Bailey
Cameron
Coldwell
Docken

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

'In a press release issued by UAA, Ciocco noted that the Seawolves will have the youngest coaching staff in college hockey this season. He and returning assistant coach T.J. Jindra are both 30 and Thomas is 37.'

I find this, exciting. Coach Thomas - Head Coaching experience, Asst. Coach T.J. Jindra - Knows the current crop of students, Asst. Coach Ciocco - from what I've read, an excellent recruiter. All younger gentlemen, maybe easier to 'connect' with the team. Time will tell...

Re: UAA Seawolves offseason thread- time for change

I've been watching this thread all summer without saying anything.

I just wanted to say that after all the drama that has happened in the last few months, I feel like the hockey program is moving in the right direction. We have an accomplished coach at the helm with 9 years of pro experience, who's only 37. And we have 2 assistant coaches who both seem to be smart guys, both only 30 years old.

I haven't been this excited about the team since Kevin Clark's senior year.

Go Seawolves!

**BUMP**

Has anyone heard if the players are starting to trickle in to Anchorage? I do know that Kwas will be here next week, but haven't heard about any others.....

Not sure when they are coming up, I did notice kamal at the red hot chili peppers concert so he's up here and I'm sure there are others who spent the summer here.

The Seawolves will be wearing gold sweaters for their Saturday home games. Remember that season when the team won the majority of the games when they wore gold sweaters? Yup. :)

I like those jerseys. Nice to hear.
Different look from those ones. They posted them on Facebook. They have four jerseys this next season, White Home, Green Road, Gold, and a very nice 4th White one for the Tournaments.

They are gold, but you're right they look different from those other gold jerseys that were, um, shiny.
