UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

You keep saying that you lose to sh*y teams.

Are you sure that's the argument you want to make?

When it keeps us from being a TUC and possibly helps knock you guys out of the tournament? I'll look for a silver lining. :)

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

Motzko says the winning goal was kicked in. In other news, SCSU never traps in the neutral zone.

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

This may be true, but I don't think this is the year UAA breaks the streak and wins in the NHC.

What is more likely is that Hanowski scores a hat trick and someone unaccustomed to hat trick traditional takes off their pants and throws them on the ice.

I duly note that UAA has never won a game at the National Hockey Center.

Hmmmm..........

My dad always used to say that the longer any steak goes on, the more likely it is to end.
Good call :)

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

Sorry to the UAA fans for saying this but that was a horrible loss. At home, against the last place team, jockeying for home ice. They blew it. At this point in the season there is no margin for error. I know it is only one game, but like Bill Parcells said, "you are as good as your record says you are". We are 9-11-3 in the WCHA. So I guess we just aren't good.

I honestly thought this team had a good shot at home ice after last weekend. Win 3 of these 4 games and put yourself in a good spot going into the home series with Duluth. But sweeping in Houghton is highly unlikely, and that is what we would need to get to .500. Disappointing season last year, and really bad luck with injuries and departures this year. Been tough being a SCSU fan over the past 18 months.

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

“That’s one of the worst efforts I’ve seen out of us since I’ve been here,” said Bob Motzko, who is in his seventh season as St. Cloud State’s head coach. "You come off a couple wins (at Wisconsin) and start feeling good about yourself and we were disconnected from start to finish. They played a lot harder than us.”

Seriously, how does this happen? Coming off of a bye, no less. Well, yay, we can look forward to a win tonight. Not like it matters at this point.

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

Motzko says the winning goal was kicked in. In other news, SCSU never traps in the neutral zone.

“The last one was clearly kicked,” said Motzko, who watched the replay after the game. “You can watch it. He clearly re-directs it in with his skate. We still deserved to lose the game.”

So do you feel disrespected? You are unhappy that he thinks the winning goal was kicked in? What is your beef here?

The synergistic harmony between your screen name and the stuff you post here is impressive.

I have no beef. Motzko said something. I noted he said it. Did I say anything about him saying it?
Synergistic harmony? I will have to send this to the department of redundancy department. No one is impressed with your condescending attitude, so why don't you just drop it? Simply don't respond if "the stuff I post here" is too incoherent.

You posted that Motzko said it was kicked in. Do you agree or disgree? You didn't say, so based on what I perceive to be your "style", I assumed you disagree. Which is fine. You and Motzko are entitled to your own opinions. I just have trouble differentiating between journalist uaafanblog and opinionated message board user uaafanblog.

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

Did not expect that. There was that worry that this was the last chance to win there and now that monkey is off.

Until last night, UAA had not won a game in St. Cloud since November 7, 1987. By my calculation that streak lasted 8,868 days.

Congratulations to the Seawolves on the victory last night at the NHC.

Good-bye home ice for SCSU in the first round this season. I predict SCSU ends up in Colorado Springs.

Good thing the ground breaking ceremony for the NHC renovations is scheduled for Friday, March 2, 2012. As of Monday, March 5, 2012, they can have at the NHC and start the construction to transform it into the NHEC.

Amen bro.

On the bright side, the team always gives you a good reason to road trip to Cloudy town and party!

Translating for you, Donald is using sarcasm to convey his belief that the goal was not kicked in by using another false statement that SCSU never traps in the neutral zone. And since Donald can be an arrogant * he's not going to explain it.

That is how I read it. I was surprised at his incredulousness that Motzko thought it was kicked in.

Donald, you are five moves ahead in a chess game with no opponent.

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Its Not Personal, Its Business

Kicked in? No kicking motion Bob.... Stopping in front and off his shin maybe but watch the replay a bit closer sir. Lee's stick swept it into the goal... Where it was destined to go anyway. Hey they took care of you with a call under 2 minutes in the 3rd what else you need? Suck it up.
