Huskies overlook no one, including UAA. Any D1 team can win any night. I get a bit tired of teams thinking a win or sweep is easy. Not in college hockey. Fans are stupid. UAA or any other team can win any night. What I want is the NHC to be a factor. Cummon Dogg Pound make some noise. Does not matter the opponent, show up make some noice and have fun. WCHA hockey is the best and it should remain the WCHA!!

Go SCSU.

Come on, you're just sandbaggin' us. Or does UAA prefer its current position so they can do another first round Mariucci sweep to get into the Final Five?

What is your opinion as to Shyiak's current demeanor regarding the team? Is he out the door after this season?

And Donald's blog has had no activity since shortly after Saturday's game. Has Donald thrown in the towel? Does Suze post anymore?

So many questions, but so little noise coming out of Anchorage lately.

that stupid whore of a governor is from wasilla, not anchorage.

anyway, for this year's team, losing 2 key seniors from last year has really hurt us cause no one has filled there voids. i think that an SCSU sweep is a safe bet for you guys.

You guys will probably sweep, but if the mentally-sound, defensive minded UAA shows up, there's a tiny chance we might salvage a point out of this.

What I'm Hoping For - SCSU wins 5-2 Friday, UAA wins 3-2 Saturday

What Will Probably Happen - SCSU sweeps 5-1, 4-2

I duly note that UAA has never won a game at the National Hockey Center.

My dad always used to say that the longer any steak goes on, the more likely it is to end.

This may be true, but I don't think this is the year UAA breaks the streak and wins in the NHC.

What is more likely is that Hanowski scores a hat trick and someone unaccustomed to hat trick traditional takes off their pants and throws them on the ice.

Does UAA play at the NHC next year? If not losing two this weekend would ensure that UAA would have never won in the NHC while they were in the WCHA.:eek: Wow that would be crazy. They were close to winning a couple years ago when SCSU scored with .001 left on the clock to tie it. Lets hope them winning at the NHC was never meant to be.:D

I disagree, I think the most likely time for the streak to end is about three or four seasons ago.

It hasn't been announced (to my knowledge) which pairing we get twice next season... it will either be the Colorado schools, Tech and tUMD or MSU-M and UAA, so there's a one in three chance we get them again.

And you said that our WCHA record is on the line... what if we don't play them again really at all anymore? I mean I don't know if SCSU is planning on scheduling them, and I know that UAA and UA_ are sexy to schedule reciprocating trips, but with the NCHC only having 24 conference games, the Big Ten at 20 and I heard rumor is Hockey East some really small number like 20 or 22, then they'll have a pretty easy to fill dance card. Especially if the WCHA is at 28 games, so in other words, not many OOC trips. I have the feeling that schools like Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Denver, BC, BU, Notre Dame will all get checked out before us.
