UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

Re: UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

I love the continued smugness from someone whose allegiance belongs to a program that has yet to be relevant since joining the WCHA 2 decades ago.
For "real" college hockey fans the pleasure of supporting a team doesn't come from seeing them winning. It comes from supporting them while hoping they win. It comes from the personal fan character that is built through supporting a team that doesn't necessarily win every game. If you're so stupid that you don't understand the built-in advantages of the college sports system which create the powerhouses then there's not much I can do here to educate you.

And this coming from a UMD fan whose team has a brutally LOSING record to UAA over the last 6 or 7 years? Go look that up eh? And it wasn't so long ago that Duluth was mired in the basement in consecutive years was it? At no point here did I claim or infer Seawolves greatness 85. I merely put an excitable newb in his place like I often used to do in your case. His freaking team beats UAA once at home and suddenly the Seawolves belong in the league his team played in before this year? Hilarious. Too bad during my absence you didn't learn anything 85.

When your program is no longer an annual joke, then come run your mouth, *******.
Where exactly do you see me running my mouth 85?

By how many people do the Aces outdraw your beloved Seawolves on a game by game basis?
See my response to the Bemidji mouth running fan above 85.

Re: UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

How do you explain low attendance at every other WCHA barn when the Seapuppies come to town?

This UAA fan talks a lot of smack for never having a team that hasn't done anything at any level. Well except allowing any team that has to travel up there the luxury of two more home games....

The same way I explained it in the two posts above tbrainless. None of those cities bandwagon fans care enough about their team to show up. Why does Mankato sell out when the Gophers or UND comes to town? Because local fans want to see the Gophers or UND ... they aren't turning out to watch their team. They're turning out to watch the local team play UND or the Gophers (as I explained before).

Owning idiots who think the argument that more of their team's fans show up for the Gophers and UND versus showing up for UAA is anything less than an indictment of bandwagoneering does not equate to talking smack (as I explained before).

Great news! Merriam-Webster is considering adding the last few posts in this thread to their online reference for the definition of "redundancy". Congratulations are in order to you specifically as they noted your dogged determinism to beat a dead mule that you thought was a horse.

Here. Let me make it simple for you little brains.

Your fans are bandwagon because they show up when your team plays the Gophers or when your team is winning. I cannot dumb it down any further than that. I'm pretty sure it should be understandable even to 85.

Re: UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

I will gladly feel free to tell you what a moron you are. You are ripping on a town of aprox. 14,000 people for only putting 3014 people on friday and 3451 on saturday during deer hunting season (considered a holiday season in Minnesota) against your crap team. Against good teams our attendance was 4373 both nights against the Sioux, and 3876 & 3611 against the dogs of UMD. Why dont you tell us the estimated population of the great city of Anchorage? I estiamte close to 300,000 people yet your last home series against Mankato at the great Sullivan center your attendance was 2953 & 2957. Against CC at the Carlson center your attendance was a great 890! against Union 849 out of nearly 300,000 population. As far as I am concerned you guys should start up a new conference with Huntsville with Barn dances following the games.

Ok quick review for frozen brain from anchorage:

On our worst attendance night our so called bandwagoners had 3014 people out of 14000 (towns population) 21.5 % of the town to watch the Seawolves! where Anchorage had 2953 out of 300,000 .098% people against Mankato a team I consider of equal interest in watching. I have been following the Beavs since 1992 and am well aware of their previous history and tradition before that. The Pros and Olympians like Sargeant and Otto or the smaller d2 champions like Cook, Edwards, Novak etc... Is it possible the seawolves cant even be part of a bandwagon conversation because they have never even been relevant or had as much support in a city of 300,000 people as BSU has in a town of 14,000 people............ BSU has a storied tradition. BSU has Championships (even if only at a D2 level) What does your U have other than a loud mouth spoutin off from his igloo and some fans that ring their cow bells for their mating call ??????

Ok quick review ...

Where did I say Anchorage fans weren't bandwagon fans? And by the way ... UAA has some decent history along the way prior to joining the WCHA and a couple of wins in the Final Five (none of which is intended in any way shape or form as some attempt to boost UAA's perceived "place"). Including sweeping #1 ranked BC in the NCAA's when D-1 used best two of three playoff series in the 1st round of it's tournament. And yes ... former and current NHL players (whoop-tee-doo!). See dummy, I'm not crowing about my team; I've made zero claims for their success in the WCHA ... not a single one. I'm making fun of you for crowing about yours. Congrats on your first WCHA home win. Talk to me in March. I promise you that regardless of where UAA and Bemidji sit at that time that you'll get just as frustrated at being schooled by me.

Weeeellll... tUMD did just sell out one game against UAA and came within 400 tix of selling out the other...

Re: UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

If anything, I'd say UAA doesn't have bandwagon fans as they don't really show up in force no matter who the Seawolves are playing. So DTP is right.

Re: UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

Look in no way am I "crowing" about my team. To defend my team by saying losing to UND or UMD isn't a let down isnt crowing, nor is stating comonsense that my town not city should not be ashamed for 3000 fans out of the towns population of 14000. I dont think we will be hosting the opening round this year but I also wont crow about how we beat some #1 ranked team years ago because we did that on neutral ice last year. Try "schooling" yourself for once.

It simply does not get any better than that on a sports fan message board.

*Just so you know. I'm not actually replying here TO you. I've included your quote just for expository reasons.

Re: UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

UAA fans get all chippy when their team wins more than one game a season I guess....I just don't get what this retard is even talking about...Go back to your stupid blog, we don't care here anymore...

You don't care? You seem to care enough to reply to his posts...

I think you've schooled yourself.

Re: UAA @ Bemidji State: Get out of the gutter battle.

890 "fans" at a WCHA game???????? That is hilarious!!!! And UAA fans are asking us about our attendance??? The
Barn dances should be before the UAA games as a "pep" rally.

I don't know about all my fellow BSU fans, but I sure feel perceptive and much more intellectual after being "schooled" by this fantastic UAAfan. WOW!! I can't wait until March for the next lesson. For real dude??? Schooling Beaver fans? I don't think so. But go ahead and run your mouth since it makes you feel good. Have a nice day!
