UAA at Denver - Sunday 3/10/13 - Brunch at Magness

Re: UAA at Denver - Sunday 3/10/13 - Brunch at Magness

Didier injured in front of UAA net. Leaves the game. Looked like he may have twisted a knee when checked.

Murphy to the box for UAA. Just over 2:00 to go. DU 6 Seabreeze 1

Re: UAA at Denver - Sunday 3/10/13 - Brunch at Magness

DU will finish the regular season in a three way tie for 4th place.

I picked the Pioneers to finish 2nd behind North Dakota. DU only finished 4 points out of 1st and if they didn't go off the rails in December they could of easily won the MacNaughton.

Ironic that if DU had of taken care of business in Bemidji & not choked up the puck in the Springs a few weeks ago, we'd all be sky high right now. As it is, we head into the playoffs with a very rested, very good goaltender.

I guess we'll see what they can do in the playoffs. CC is a good matchup for DU because their lack of physical style of play suits DU.

Nice a 13-2 thumping of UAA this weekend. Congrats to the boys and bring on the Kitty Kats.

Re: UAA at Denver - Sunday 3/10/13 - Brunch at Magness

I'm somewhat surprised UAA hasn't gotten chippy-chippy,

Game over. Your final: DU 6 UAA 1

Props to UAA for not gooning it up in what had to be a frustrating weekend for them. The hit to Didier was clean. Depending on his status, DU gets out of the series in good shape. Viva seems fine after that earlier kicking incident.

BRING ON THE ***** CATS!!!!!!!!

We're in the dance regardless of what happens this weekend I'd guess. Almost would rather have the team get a weekend off.

Memo to Donald & Doc: don't let the door hit you where the Lord split you. Or as the old lady says in "Auntie Mame" when Rosiland Russell gallops off on a psychopathic horse: "Good bye little Yankee gal."

All true. We've been spoiled (we deserve it, of course) during much of the Gwoz era.

Pios should always take advantage of proving cc sucks!

DU is going to Fairbanks next October and playing UAA and Alaska in a tourney.

I was speaking metaphorically, not literally. Although I'd rather be playing Cherry Creek. I hope they'll be providing the perch. Off air conversation, Gwoz sounds concerned about Didier.

Gwoz says "until Gabe Levin got hurt" in the 2nd.

No mention of Didier in the post game interview. Is that ominous? Too early to tell. Gwoz pleased with getting CC.

Can't afford any injuries now. My thoughts going into the last 6 games is that DU had to go 4-2-0 and that is exactly what they did. Interesting to see if Gwoz goes Jussi, Sam and Jussi (if needed) next weekend.

Except for the off-air dead silence when Ryker asked him. He did say he didn't know off air. What happened to Levin?

Note that DU is up to #6 in PWR but there are still 3 games left to play today.

Levin went down clutching the back of his knee and didn't return
