Its not like there were ever that many good ideas for Opie past the majority of season 2 anyway.

If Tig's daughter was more a part of the show (and I understand why they did what they did)...it might have been interesting. Turned into Crow Eaters? Barred from the life? But yeah, this particular flashback thing? Dumb.

Back in 2007, there was a show called Drive, yet another show given no chance by Fox. I only just recently learned of it and watched all 6 episodes that aired. So good, so much potential. It's a complete shame that it wasn't given a real chance. Just look up the cast and you'll immediately see the potential it had.

I liked that show, although the concept started to lose its luster after a couple episodes. Another in a long line of Nathan Fillion vehicles that failed to catch on. Also had one of my favorite character actors, Dylan Baker.

Been so long, I didn't even realize Emma Stone was in that. Maybe before I saw her in Superbad, so didn't register. A lot of other young actors who went on to recognition in other stuff after.

I caught an episode of the Discovery Channel's North America on Sunday. What an incredible show. The visuals are simply stunning.

I have enjoyed so far as well. I think 2-3 episodes out of 7 have aired. Although, I think the BBC's series (Frozen Planet, Blue Planet, Africa, etc) were done better. But not bad for Discovery's first attempt.

Dan Harmon may return to Community, which was previously renewed for a fifth season.

Has anyone else seen Going Ape or Brain Games on NatGeo? I managed to land the remote on NatGeo while in my hotel last week and found both of these shows quite fascinating.

Anthony Michael Hall on Psych = AWESOME!!

Man Arrested Development Season 4 was a major league letdown. The ending was downright terrible.

Found out on Monday that China Beach is finally available on DVD. This has been one of my "must-haves" since DVD's were invented. Needless to say, it's on its way. Expensive yes, but the producers took great pains to make sure that they got music clearances for as much of the original soundtrack as they could. Which was the major issue keeping this from ever coming out. Music rights must have cost a bundle.

One of the best TV shows ever.

I'm guessing chinabeachdvd.com isn't legit?

Music rights are HUGE. It's the biggest reason for the lack of Beavis And Butthead and Dawson's Creek (and I THINK This So Called Life) DVDs were delayed/never done (not that I ever watched the latter two).

Tried to start "Justified" tonight; am on a trial membership for Amazon Prime, so free streaming of this show, which is exclusive streaming to Amazon. Crapped out 2/3 through the first episode, it blamed internet. Um, Netflix streaming and YouTube worked fine, thank you very much. So F you, Amazon. Gonna try and marathon the show tomorrow, and if the problem persists....hoo boy.

I did like what the show started, though.

The biggest DVD package with issues was The Wonder Years...

The internet connection issue doesn't necessarily mean it was your connection. The issues could be with their streaming servers.

The Wonder Years is now available, I've been watching the show on, coincidentally, Amazon's Prime streaming service.

Exactly. Which is why I checked out everything else. After being on hold for 15 minutes, I gave up. Since I'll prob be up early tomorrow (thereby avoiding the heavy night traffic in theory), we'll see what happens. ;)

Yup but they ended up changing a bunch of music because of rights issues if I'm not mistaken.
