Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

I preferred the Disney rotation: Duck Tales, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, Dark Wing Duck.

Doug was ok. Rugrats sucked.

I liked Duck Tales, though.

THANK YOU! Glad I'm not the only person who didn't like Rugrats.

C'mon, pretend you're 10 years old again, and you can't hate the "Chucky's Body" episode. Or anything involving Reptar.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Subscribe because even though I don't like cartoons now (except for South Park) I did like me some Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers when I was a kid. Never watched any of these Nickelodeon shows you guys mentioned, we didn't have cable until I was too old to care about cartoons.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Looney Toons, Chilly Willy, and Woody The Woodpecker were awesome. Didn't get into the Nick shows, except a little Ren And Stimpy. Then the educational TV laws kicked in, and that was that.

Oh, Tom And Jerry (the old ones) were awesome. The new ones sucked.

Same here. So we had Fox Kids, Disney Afternoon, and the UPN ones on Sunday that were about the environment (Captain Planet, Widget the World Watcher).

I still binge Invader Zim every once in a while.

I dated a woman who tried to get me into that show. I'll have to give it a try sometime in the future, when I can find it streaming somewhere and bored with the options already available to me.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Not sure where I'd rank any of these, but I fondly recall:

-Looney Tunes
-Rocky & His Friends
-Tom & Jerry
-Superfriends
-the Sid & Marty Kroftt rotation
-Star Blazers
-the original Scooby Doo series
-Johnny Quest
-Hong Kong Phooey
-Pink Panther

Loved Ren & Stimpy. I'll be over at my daughter's hanging on the deck having a beer and she'll break out with the "Log" song. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTrAVpK9blw )

Right on both counts regarding Tom & Jerry.

Loved Hannah Barbera's The Jetson's(old not new), Top Cat, Yogi Bear.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

I thought he was killed?

He's not dead yet. But he's still as badazz as ever.

Wonder if Chloe is going to make a surprise appearance?

Tony ends up sealed inside CTU Medical along with Henderson when terrorists release Sentox nerve gas into the building, killing many members of the staff. Enraged and feeling he has nothing left to live for, Tony decides to kill Henderson by injecting him a lethal dose of hyoscine-pentothal while he is seemingly in a coma. Jack's attempts to dissuade him eventually cause Tony to hesitate, however, and Henderson is given time to disarm Tony of the syringe and inject him with it before escaping. Before Jack can get him medical help, Tony apparently dies.

24: Season 7

Tony is discovered to be alive and currently working with a terrorist group to disrupt US President Allison Taylor's invasion of Sangala by blackmailing her with terrorist attacks. It is ultimately revealed that Christopher Henderson purposely missed Tony's heart when he stabbed him, and planned on turning him. He had his people take Tony's body, and they were able to revive him within 10 minutes of his apparent death.

IDK about that. One of the analysts, I think the girl, is cousins with Lispy Skip though, so maybe. I also wonder how long it takes before Tony gets pardoned, reinstated and starts working with BlackJack Bauer though.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Legion keeps getting better and better. It's like watching HBO but without the nudity and f-bombs.

The end of episode five was awesome.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Trial & Error is pretty good. We'll see if it lasts though.

Edit: I almost pizzed myself when we met the judge.
