I keep hearing Breaking Bad is good...![]()
Walking Dead
I'm not loving what they're doing with Rick's character. I think they could show him as angry, grief stricken, feeling guilty, etc without the ghosts & visions. Cold-hearted realist would be a logical place for him to be at this point - they're taking him to a weirder place. Also, at some point, he's gotta have a bigger army and needs to let new people in. That would seem to be common sense.
Merle is great for comic relief, but glad they didn't write him into the group. NO WAY would they take him back. Good decision at this point.
Best scene last night was the Governor walking out to "help" the injured Woodbury citizen and then turning around and walking back into his building.![]()
It started out interesting enough, but things started trending in directions that didn't interest me, so I never picked up watching the show after season 1.0 ended.I am still mad they cancelled Caprica...I was digging that show.
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome aired last night on Syfy (AKA "Siffy"). It might be used as a setup for a new BSG series, following Bill Adama through the early years of his career with the Colonial Fleet. Nothing's been officially stated to that end.
Assuming it's the start to a new series, it got off to a good start, but the show relied heavily upon CGI for its background settings. One of the good things about the BSG reboot from 2004 was that it used real, interactive sets that gave the scenes a greater touch of familiarity for the audience. I expect that the CGI sets were done this time as a matter of convenience and costs since they tore down the original BSG sets when filming for it completed. The guy playing Adama did an admirable job, but was anything awe inspiring. It was a good touch to bring back one character's voice, to make yet another connection between the future and "past" BSG series. It makes me wonder if we'll hear more of it during the series, again, assuming there's a series to be made.
Loved the Godfather sequence on Modern Family last week.
The ten episodes online were can be viewed on YouTube, where they were originally released. Each episode is 8-10 minutes long, and essentially become what was aired last night.I believe there's been six or eight episodes of this that have already played online. This was the move to `show on-air, and as you said, hopefully pick up a big enough audience to keep on with the series. Heard the guy playing Adama is a bit of a stiff, though. Got to catch my recording of the show sometime this week.
I just started watching Justified and realized the ex-wife on that show is another ex-wife on The Following.
Bah, I completely forgot this was on tonight. I'll have to either catch it on demand or "rent" it from Amazon instant video. I've liked it so far.Predictable ending on The Americans, but still.....sh* just got real.

I really like when there's an overarching story that spans series while each episode itself can stand on its own. The show Life did that very well, I thought, but it's too bad that the show ended after season 2 without the whole thing being completely wrapped. Damian Lewis had the lead character nailed, and Sarah Shahi was great as his partner.Without spoiling anything, of course....more characters are introduced. Probably future important characters. While the plot/action itself seems a little fast-paced....the backstory is definitely a slow burn, which I like.
