Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe = EPIC! :D

Beatriz: You have a new nickname in camp, they call you "El Barbilla"
Sam: That is cool, what does that mean "The Barbarian" or something?
Beatriz: No it means "The Chin"
Sam: "The Chin"...that doesn't even make sense.

:D

Does it look like Bruce Campbell lost a bit of weight to do this movie?

Oh yeah, probably to make him look younger and more like an active Navy man :)

"Lamar is the third most influential African-American character in movie history after Radio and Malcolm X."

I think Happy Endings may just have earned my viewing time.

Edit to add: Couple other observations...

Adam Pally, who plays the gay guy, has the same voice as Paulo Costanzo from Royal Pains.

Michael Mosley, who was the guy who lived in the crawlspace in the third episode, is the spitting image of Silas Weir Mitchell, who played Haywire on Prison Break.

I howled with laughter after that line.

OMG - that's who he reminded me of!!

Anyone else still watching The Event? I was ok with the way things were written and going until Monday's episode. Now I'm mad and irritated that I wasted my time.

Community was interesting last night. I thought it was funny, but the overall arc of the episode I wasn't a fan of.

Nice to see Annie's Boobs, though.

I have been watching them slowly, I have 3-4 DVR'd that I need to watch. I am losing interest in it...

I have started watching Mad Love regularly, I don't know why, but I enjoy it. It seems like this should be a horrible sitcom, but I have found it entertaining so far, so I guess I'll keep watching. I really think it is the big guy with the beard and the *****y best friend girl that make it decent.

As long as those two don't hook up, that would ruin it (unless they're still going to hate each other afterwards). Not sure how long they can drag that out and keep it funny.

They'll end up hooking up. Its too obvious that its going to happen. If it does happen, they should have the other 2 break up.

It's a really good cast (Sarah Chalke and Judy Greer have done great sitcoms before, Tyler Labine was a good sidekick on Reaper, and the guy who ****ed the pie is good too) so it stands to reason that it would be a funny show. As I mentioned upthread I think it's pretty predictable that Judy Greer and Tyler Labine will end up hooking up (especially now that they hinted at it in the episode where Chris Parnell guested) so IMO they have some work to do to keep the story arc from being predictable, but the humor is a good start. A predictable story arc isn't really fatal to a sitcom (continuing with Sarah Chalke, it was pretty obvious all along that she and Zach Braff were going to wind up together on Scrubs) because you're not really watching it for dramatic revelations (this isn't Lost), you're watching it for good lines.

Supernatural

Dean: "I'm a posse magnet. I love posse. Should put that on a t-shirt"

Sam: "Are you done?"

Lately I found the first minute of that better than the full episode of Community and that is not a good sign.

Seriously, Community is just a waste now...

Re: TV Shows 6: Abed and Troy in the Morning! Havvveeee you met Ted's Wife yet?

I was looking through my dvd collection and saw a pattern when I realized I owned all of the following: The Wire, Deadwood, Carnivale, From the Earth to the Mooon, The Pacific, Band of Brothers, Flight of the Conchords, Mr Show with Bob and David. Combine that with other shows I have seen but dont own, The Sopranos and John Adams, and several that I have heard are good from various people (Boardwalk Empire, Six Feet Under, True Blood, Rome, Entourage, Hung, Eastbound and Down, Big Love, In Treatment, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Extras, Oz and Treme)...and I'd say the folks at HBO have done a heck of a job of picking/creating shows. In fact several of those shows are now going to be added to my netflix list...

To tie in with that, second season of Treme starts tonight.
