Rob Lowe was once again absolutely hysterical on Californication last night. The look on his face when Marcy first attacked the psycho ****** was priceless.
Don't think I've seen it discussed before, but I've actually been impressed with both V (more so) and No Ordinary Family (a bit less) this year.
Oh wow, that was INCREDIBLE.Best. Dinner. Party. EVER!
This episode was brilliant...on a scale of 1-5 stars I seriously give it 6.
Anyone watching The Chicago Code? I ws finally able to catch an episode last week, and have now caught up with the rest of the series online. It's been very good.
Started watching "Brotherhood" tonight (SHO series, now defunct, I believe). Mobbed-up bro and politico bro are the main characters; set in a blue collar Irish neighborhood in Providence RI. Although I've only seen the first two episodes so far, I like it. Will probably burn through 1 or 2 more eps tonight, then wait for the second half of season 1 to arrive.
And I can't believe the kid from "Can't Hardly Wait" (the true love dork) is a cop in this!
I watched that whole series a while back (only 2 seasons...politico bro is now in Chicago Code). Its a pretty good series. Would like to have seen a few more seasons.
I'll be honest, I heard there was closure to the series, so that's an additional reason for watching it. Watched the 3rd ep, and now that the political storylines are fleshing out more, I'm really into it. It was rather convoluted during the first episode or so, like they tried to force all the storylines in the first 10 minutes, but now that they can spend a little more time on each storyline, it's really good.
Yeah there was some closure...more than other series have had. But I still felt like it was forced somewhat. Perhaps you will have a differnt opinion.
I got into it because Netflix suggested it based on my liking of The Wire (one of the greatest series of all time).
Speaking if shows without closure...I really wish they could have finished all 6 intended seasons of Carnivale. That was a great series that ended way way to soon.
That was one that piqued my interest, but heard little about it. Good to know that it doesn't have closure, as I probably won't ever start watching it now. I despise that in series that end. The only series that knew it was going to end and really didn't tie up all the loose knots (that I remember off the top of my head) was "Cheers" and they wrote the last episode purposefully that way. That? I can appreciate.
Loved it. I don't think it's a bit one bit.Idiot Abroad - while I'm not convinced it's not a bit, I still laugh.
