"And THAT... is Dallas."

Now, everyone knows a beaver's favorite thing to eat is wood. If Robin's beaver takes 6 inches of wood every half hour and Jessica's takes 8 inches.....:D

Rob Lowe was once again absolutely hysterical on Californication last night. The look on his face when Marcy first attacked the psycho ****** was priceless.

Best. Dinner. Party. EVER! :D

This episode was brilliant...on a scale of 1-5 stars I seriously give it 6.

Don't think I've seen it discussed before, but I've actually been impressed with both V (more so) and No Ordinary Family (a bit less) this year.

V actually took some unexpected plot turns, so that's what impressed me. You could pretty much call what was going to happen up until the last episode or two. I will continue to watch but I really have no idea how this show could last more then 2-3 seasons as they will eventually have to bring everything to fruition

Anyone watching The Chicago Code? I ws finally able to catch an episode last week, and have now caught up with the rest of the series online. It's been very good.

It has certainly had it's moments. The trouble I see possibly happening is that right now is it is up in the air to be renewed and you know they aren't closing out the Alderman Gibbons storyline this year

Might be time to shelve all the "Raylan Givens was good at baseball references" after seeing him in the cage last night.

Re: TV Shows 6: Abed and Troy in the Morning! Havvveeee you met Ted's Wife yet?

Started watching "Brotherhood" tonight (SHO series, now defunct, I believe). Mobbed-up bro and politico bro are the main characters; set in a blue collar Irish neighborhood in Providence RI. Although I've only seen the first two episodes so far, I like it. Will probably burn through 1 or 2 more eps tonight, then wait for the second half of season 1 to arrive.

And I can't believe the kid from "Can't Hardly Wait" (the true love dork) is a cop in this! :D

I watched that whole series a while back (only 2 seasons...politico bro is now in Chicago Code). Its a pretty good series. Would like to have seen a few more seasons.

I'll be honest, I heard there was closure to the series, so that's an additional reason for watching it. Watched the 3rd ep, and now that the political storylines are fleshing out more, I'm really into it. It was rather convoluted during the first episode or so, like they tried to force all the storylines in the first 10 minutes, but now that they can spend a little more time on each storyline, it's really good.

Yeah there was some closure...more than other series have had. But I still felt like it was forced somewhat. Perhaps you will have a differnt opinion.

I got into it because Netflix suggested it based on my liking of The Wire (one of the greatest series of all time).

Speaking if shows without closure...I really wish they could have finished all 6 intended seasons of Carnivale. That was a great series that ended way way to soon.

That was one that piqued my interest, but heard little about it. Good to know that it doesn't have closure, as I probably won't ever start watching it now. I despise that in series that end. The only series that knew it was going to end and really didn't tie up all the loose knots (that I remember off the top of my head) was "Cheers" and they wrote the last episode purposefully that way. That? I can appreciate.

If I remember the situation correctly Carnivale had 6 seasons written and ready to go. The got the first 2 filmed and on air when it was suddenly canceled. The problem was that didnt have any notice and I believe had already aired the season 2 finale before being canceled. Even if they had found out before filming the season 2 finale that it would have been canceled it would have been very tough to change it as they had set up the story line to last much longer so it would have been a very forced ending I think. I still recommend it though. Its very very good. Great acting, crazy but good story, great filming, and they do a good job of recreating the feel of the depression. When my roommate and I watched it we counted at least 3 moments each episode that made us look at each other and say "what the hell!?!?!" You just have to know you arent going to see everything wrapped up and will be left with quite the cliffhanger.

Agree that Carnivale is worth watching even knowing that the end won'twrap anything up. Still very good.

I just watched the first two seasons of Misfits, that show is excellent. Hopefully they can keep it going.

Idiot Abroad - while I'm not convinced it's not a bit, I still laugh.
