As for Jerome...I dont mind him...just think they went a bit too far down the Ledger characterization which I dont think really fit Gotham. I think that held him back. I would have made him closer to the Animated Joker than the Ledger Joker but I didnt hate him or anything.

I wouldnt...unless your case is "I have no point just want to post something" cause I have no idea what you are trying to says. I wasnt arguing over the value of the portrayal just saying I didnt like it as much as other versions of the Joker. (I actually like almost everything Gotham did even when they changed characters dramatically) You and Rube were doing your best Kepler impression over a comedy bit that's whole purpose is to make people uncomfortable ;)

My point is none of this actually matters :)

Sweet. I haven't seen S4, as it is not on Netflix yet, but I like the direction of the show. I do have the original Univision series in my streaming queue, and I'll watch all bajillion eps at some point...

Saw the Chappelle special tonight, It's very good and there are moments when it is great.

Any righty scumsucker who is creaming over it because it gores some liberal oxen didn't understand it. It's deeply subversive of everything Dump and the other GOP Nazis are.

One thing has nothing to do with the other. Calling people out for missing the point of a comic routine is one thing. Calling people "social justice warriors" just puts you on par with Nazi numbskulls.

Depends.

For comedy, calling out comics for tasteless (and they are tasteless, you will get no argument from me) jokes does put you in the SJW camp (you can't say that!). That's his point, and I agree with it.

Kep, I did a little more reading into Chappelle's more recent specials, including this one. They've included disgusting, bigoted, anti-trans attempts at "humor." If calling him a bigot makes me an "SJW," so ****ing be it.

And no I wont. That is what they are...they are cowards who use the internet as a bully pulpit to shout down anyone and everyone...even the people who help their cause and parallel their beliefs. They are the worst of the worst...they are not our friends and they deserve our scorn and derision. They do more damage to the cause than anything.

Put it another way...I will stop calling them that when they get a sense of humor. I will stop when they stop acting like precious little flowers. PCU is a satire and these clowns made it into the raison d'etre :D At least if you are gonna try and be someone from that film be Gunner. (is a tool!)

Oh snap...Jeremy Piven was the star of PCU and he is a jerk to woman...and I like that film...IM A WITCH!!! :eek:

Them equating liking Dave Chappelle to being a Nazi (which is what they did) puts THEM on par with being a Nazi numbskull. Me calling them out for it just makes me a person with a functional brain and sense of humor. These people are bad news man...

PCU was so far ahead of its time......

If I laugh at obvious comedic bits that offend anyone and everyone, so be it. Guilty as charged.

If I have the same attitude with people IN charge? Hang me.

Point is, there is a difference. And those that cannot see that difference, take a look in the mirror.
