Re: TV: One Person's Trash...

Jesus, I completely forgot about Raw Toonage as well! (Fell down a Wiki rabbit hole while reminiscing about Bonkers)

Full Tale Spin, full Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Rescue Rangers. Be still my heart!!
Not a full Tale Spin from the looks of the art but a grown up Kit and Molly (which makes sense as Tale Spin was supposed to be a 1940’s, Casablanca-esque time)

But I definitely geeked out at Rescue Rangers. Chip n Dale are the best Disney characters fight me. :D

Re: TV: One Person's Trash...

Since the characters from Tail Spin have "grown up", it's assumed that this all takes place after the end of all the previous shows. That better get me answers to what happened at the end of Darkwing Duck.

Loved that show and adult me is still peeved it ended on a cliffhanger because ABC pulled the plug after leading writers and staff to believe there would be a 3rd season of the show

Ducktales has not shied away from nostalgic deep cuts, so hoping this gets me answers :o

Re: TV: One Person's Trash...

Taboo. I expected to like this a lot more than I did in the end. It was fine and if there is a S2 I will watch, but I thought it had The Night Of potential and it under-delivered. Tom Hardy was awesome for the most part, but I was disappointed that he didn't break from his one-note character for more than 1 or 2 scenes the entire series. So many cliches and some of the dialogue was pitiful including the wonderful Jonathan Pryce laughably screaming, "Doesn't anyone here have a brain?". David Hayman as his servant was quite good, Oona Chaplin was wonderful in bits, so was Franka Potente and others as well. But sadly overall it fell a bit flat.

Just started Barry. This is the second recommendation by Dr. Mrs. in the last two weeks (Big Mouth).

Love it. Only 2 episodes in and I'm thoroughly into the characters.

Barry is really, really good.

Re: TV: One Person's Trash...

Started "Typewriter," an India-produced horror series. 5 1-hour-long eps for the first season. Nice start to it, good setup, and it's working the creep factor, as opposed to shock factor. Looking forward to seeing the rest of it.

Also caught Nova's Prediction By The Numbers, a doc on theories of probability and how those are applied in real life. Loved it. Really happy Netflix has a TON of these types of shows on the streaming platform.

Re: TV: One Person's Trash...

The payoff has started at the end of Ep4 for Typewriter. Hoping for a doozy, but have a sneaky feeling it's gonna be a letdown. One more ep left for the first season (if there's gonna be a second, I dunno).
