TV: Give Me That Remote!

It wasn't HORRIBLE. But it definitely could have been better.

Didn't it turn into some weird knockoff Stargate series? I remember the early episodes were okay (I only saw a few) and then after two season I thought it went off the rails.

There was a season two? Ok. My memory for THAT series is shot. :o

Re: TV: Give Me That Remote!

So, other than X-Files, was there any programming that FOX hasn't sabotaged and shut down?

Well, X Files was part David's fault. He was whipped by Tea Leoni (filming locations). Herman's Head became refined and came back as Ally McBeal, sorta.

Re: TV: Give Me That Remote!

Ok, after much thought, I have some more detailed, spoilery, Westworld comments/questions.

First...it is so obvious that the line between Guests and Hosts is going to be blurred. I don't think we can say for certain that anyone is for sure a human. We know who some of the Hosts are for certain, they've come back from the "dead". This leads me to, I'm not completely sure that the Man in Black is a Guest. Sure, Teddy wasn't able to kill him, but that could be explained with some kind of programming right? We're not to believe that these robots are walking around with live ammunition, right? So they must be equipped with some kind of laser activated squib system. Seems easy to reprogram something like that. Also, the Hosts that are functioning properly, as Teddy is, are unable to try to harm a living thing. Teddy did not swat the fly but yet he willingly shot at the Man in Black? How could he even pull the trigger if he thought it was going to do harm, unless he knew that the Man in Black was a Host too. If he were to pull the trigger and shoot at a Guest with a fake gun, it would be pointless, it wouldn't do a dam thing, so why shoot at all? Something there is weird.

Second, I want to know what Delores's father really told her, because I don't believe she told them the truth with that Shakespeare quote. If Delores is the oldest Host, and the Man in Black is also a wildcard very old Host, what implications does that have? I've seen theories that this series directly ties into the old movie, and some of them seem plausible. Unfortunately I've not seen the old movie.

Re: TV: Give Me That Remote!

*who apparently shares a birthday with me, the first person I've heard of that shares that date who was also alive. The other person I had to do a report on was Deborah Sampson. To this day, I've never actually met a person who shares my month and day. Statistically that should be nearly impossible.

Really? Cause I've got Chuck Berry, Joan Jett, and I believe sportscaster Keith Jackson.

Talleyrand, Jerry Springer, Randy Moss, Oliver Reed, Thomas Malthus, Peter Gabriel, Bess Truman, Sal Bando, Peter Tork, Grant Wood, Henry Rollins, William Shockley, Stockard Channing, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Chuck Yeagar, Kim Novak, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Coach K, Winston Churchill's dad and Michael Jackson's son.

A mixed bag, indeed.

Eh. So I don't have Joan Jett. But I got Zac Efron and Bristol Palin. :D
