TV: Did you make Barry's List?

Kim = Wendy makes sense on a uber-basic level, and these shows are not uber-basic. That's the rub.

And ok, as long as Jimmy doesn't do anything disbarrable......this IS Jimmy we're talking about. ;) Hence my comment. Yes, from day 1 I figured some single moment makes him snap, and so far....I've been thinking "Ok, HERE'S the thing!!! Sh*, nope. Ok, now HERE'S the thing! Well, wrong again."

Waiting for that moment....

It should probably be stated "as long as Jimmy doesn't get caught doing something disbarrable"

Re: TV: Did you make Barry's List?

Just watched EP8 of S2 of GLOW and after the first several minutes I thought I was going to hate the episode but by the end they had me back. Great season so far and looking forward to the finale.

Sharp Objects. Holy ****.

I ended up being disappointed by the show. I thought it had great prospects, but at least in my opinion it never delivered.

It felt like I was taking a cab ride for one mile, with the first nine tenths spent in a one horse buggy, at which point they put me in an Indy car and said, "ok, you're here."

There were a couple of good performances, but I much preferred Big Little Lies and the first installment of True Detective over Sharp Objects.

I had the killer pegged from the first or second episode. The little twist at the very end seemed just an M. Night Shamalamadingdong mess with your head that isn't quite as clever as they seem to think it is. I mean, you got one damaged daughter, and the other didn't quite seem right the whole time either, so...…………………….

BCS:

Honestly, that particular ending could have been a season-ender. And it's not even close to season-end. Very nice. Then.....you have to wonder what this show has in store. That's downright scary. One bond has been officially been formed. For good.

I was fooled. But, that being said I was extremely disappointed that the female protagonist ended up being as stupid as the one in Gone Girl. They're almost the same novel just with different expressions of anger.

Re: TV: Did you make Barry's List?

I don't think she was being stupid. I think she was taking the hit so she'd get the attention, and her sister could get away. Granted, there were better ways she could have gone about that, like grabbed her sister and run for the hills, but that doesn't make for drama and tension now, does it?

Just another in a long line of shows where people act in ways to further the plot, and don't do what any normal person in that situation would do.

Watched 3 episodes of Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime last night. So far the wife and I both like it.

How did I not hear about this show? With John kejsicuenejaheyski? I might need to give that a shot.
