Anyone else watching Pretty Little Liars on ABCFamily? Just curious. Have the first two episodes DVR-ed...

Yeah, I watched the pilot. Liked it. Good summer fluff. I recorded the second one. I'll be watching the rest of it.

I finished the first two disc's of Sports Night. Not nearly as funny as I would expect from a sitcom but it has it's moments. the laugh track is way distracting although the last couple of episodes I watched they seemed to have pulled it back quite a bit. Some episodes are also way too preachy, not what I expect from a half hour comedy. their are only six discs for the entire series so i figure I will finish it in a week or two.

Leverage is back tonight and I am sooooo glad that Gina Bellman is back and they gave Jeri Ryan the boot.

Let's see....

It's -50, whiteout, 30-40mph winds......yeah, I have to shut off my truck to change the air filter on the side of the road before my engine shuts down, and so I can make it up the next hill. And now the engine doesn't start, and another driver almost takes my truck out.

I love Ice Road Truckers.

So what the hell am I going to watch at 9?

Anyone watching Treme? I didn't quite hear (I was distracted so not sure if that was due to how it was filmed - intentional - or just me) if the police said they actually found his body, but it certainly seemed like it, but IMDB has John Goodman appearing in every episode of next season. Do they just assume/intentionally screw up (or get given wrong info) to not spoil things?

I liked the flashback bit which is the only one they've done, but it'd lose its impact if they did that every episode next season.

Wish I hadn't just watched all the episodes over the last few days as I'm getting rid of HBO soon. I like True Blood, but won't miss it, but I will be sorry to miss Treme.

(Another imdb complaint - they leave out 90+% of the musicians and others who appear as themselves in the show while they include that sort of thing on other shows. I could understand missing the ones that aren't credited on the broadcast, but why miss the ones that are.)

Ten minutes into the premiere of Memphis Beat on TNT and I like it already. :D

Ooooo. Next week on Deadliest Warrior:

Vlad The Impaler vs Sun Tzu. :D

It is preachy; that's Sorkin for you. It's like West Wing with sports instead of overt politics.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

America just won the Cold War again on Deadliest Warrior. Suck it, KGB.

Well, thier Spetznas defeated our Green Berets last season, IIRC.

I had a severe problem with the boot-knife vs the choke-wire. By all means the choke-wire is more effective, and stealthier, IMO.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I remember watching a few episodes of Sports Night when I was in middle school or so and I just watched the first four episodes on sidereel.

It really isn't that great of a show. I pretty much have only been watching it because its loosely based around sports.

I find it ironic that one of the characters in Sports Night, Jeremy is also in "The League."

I was hoping to be able to watch the two seasons all on side reel but there are only 16 episodes on side reel and they are 42 episodes in total i think.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Futurama starts up again on Comedy Central. :) 10/9 - one-hour premiere.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Ugh, it's going to be impossible to not watch these futurama episodes...

Normally I would be all over this but me and a buddy are planning on throwing a big party when they come out on blu-ray. Well, it will be the second incarnation of our previous party where we watched all 88 episodes back-to-back. Planning on doing it again when these come out.
