TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

One of the actresses on "The Pitt" was married to Dennis Hopper and then French Stewart, which I believe is what is called an "over-correction".
Was it the head nurse?

My wife and I just finished that show last night. Well done, and I really enjoyed that they basically told the Dr. Google types to get bent.

Nine Perfect Stranges Season 2 is delightful two episodes in

Season one sucked

Season 2 has: annie Murphy from Schitts creek, Henry golding, Armond from white Lotus and Christine barananski as murphys German neurotic mother

I enjoyed Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV. 9 episodes, hammaconda always watchable, absolutely no reason for a season 2, should be it
Unrelated, kep, I hope you’re using your new retirement free time (and board vacation) to watch Twin Peaks

The new King of the Hill opening credits came out. Release date of August with a time jump of 12-15 years. Per the video description, Hank and Peggy moved to Saudi Arabia for Hank to work for an Aramco-type corporation to save for retirement and are now moving back to Arlen. Bobby is working as a chef in Dallas.

I finally bought a Blu-ray player so that we could roll through the Twin Peaks: From Z to A box set. We're just about to finish up the original series, which I hadn't seen in probably about 10 years (IIRC, it used to be streamed on Netflix before Showtime bought the rights). Some thoughts on the characters not named Dale Cooper.
  • Catherine Martell - Lynch couldn't have cast a better actress than Piper Laurie for this stone-hearted bitch
  • Ben Horne - After Laura's killer is revealed, is there a funnier plot in S2 than Twin Peaks' cigar-chomping JR Ewing having his mental breakdown and subsequent rebirth as a carrot-munching, bigwig enviornmentalist just to get back at Catherine? Hilarious. Also, IMO Beymer is the most natural male actor in the series. Dude chewed exactly the right amount of scenery every time he was stuck in a scene with wooden Dana Ashbrook and/or "purdy eyes" Billy Zane.
  • Dick Tremayne - I get that the character is supposed to be a pretentious slimeball to foil Andy Brennan, but Jesus H. Christ is it laid on super thick for a small town character. 🤮
  • James Hurley - Emo little biker dude two-times with the popular HS girl, then gets pissy and moralistic when Evelyn does the reverse on him and sets him up. 🙄
  • Donna Hayward - Dear LFB, I too could wear sunglasses indoors, take up cigs, date my murdered ex-best friend's whiny biker boy sidepiece, and snoop around - none of that suddenly makes me a "cool badass". But you were Kyle MacLachlan's squeeze at the time, so you got whatever you wanted, I guess.
  • Ed Hurley - Just divorce your crazy wife already, you putz
  • Shelley Johnson - The prettiest woman in a town full of beautiful women (Lynch, you dog you), but the trashiest taste in men 🤦‍♂️
  • Windom Earle - What else has Kenneth Welsh been in? Dude embodied a total psychopath so well.
Ironically, last week we spotted Ray Wise playing the bad guy in a S1 episode of Bones (wife likes to rewatch eps of this and Angel to get her 30 year-old hunky David Boreanaz fix).

Wait, this isn’t a bit??? lol holy shit

I hope they do this right. Them being in Saudi Arabia for a decade and now returning seems like an odd plot point, but I think it's to make all of the changes in politics and society over the last several years seem new and out of place to them for service of societal commentary.
The new Beavis and Butthead has been good. Really the only Mike Judge project that wasn't good was, ironically, The Goode Family. As long as it's closer to seasons 1-7 instead of 8-13, I'll be happy.

James Hurley. James Marshall looked like he was gonna cry in every scene he was in. That was it, his only range as an actor.

Although he was surprisingly not as completely unbearable in The Return. Except when he sang that stupid song again.

Just finished S1 of Mobland with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren among others. I thought it was really well done across the board (plot, storytelling, characters, setting, soundtrack), and Brosnan especially in the finale absolutely killed it.
