TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

Prime Target had an interesting start. Sort of a Good Will Hunting meets Davinci Code for lack of a better comparison. Really enjoyed the first 2 episodes.

I really did not like veep. Glad that's over. The final scene before the news broadcast was heartbreaking

Nobody seemed to understand that Selina was always played as the villain. I cannot understand anyone ever thinking she was a protagonist.

Oh I think that was very clear. I just didn't enjoy watching a character so irredeemable and abusive. Like watching emotional gore porn.

i don't need to watch that.

Smithsonian Channel is running a 4 part series Liberation D-Day To Berlin. Footage I've never seen before. I still can't believe what the Americans and British did to Dresden.

I stumbled across S1 (out of 4) of PBS series called Vienna Blood. I gave it a try and were it not such a blatant copycat of Sherlock I would probably have continued with it but I just can't.

Was the final skit the dog park one because that was one of the worst ones they've ever done? Like, it would be bad if a high school comedy troupe did it.

Steve Zahn has been nothing short of brilliant on S2 of Silo. At first his character annoyed me, but I wasn't giving him his due. The last episode set up for a great season finale.

We just started so through E4 of S1. So far so good, though it will depend on if they have a good plan for where they're going, since it feels like this concept has been done before but never quite stuck the landing. Like, wasn't this also the plot of a Ewan McGregor and Scarlet Jost move like 20 years ago?

It's based on a book, and they are following the book very closely. So, if the book stuck the landing, the show should also.

The second book (S1 and S2 covers the first book) is a prequel explaining how the Silo society got to be. I wasn't all that enamored with the explanation and used some scifi tropes I'm not a big fan of. Interestingly, the show says they will not do the second book, which I think is a good idea. S3 and S4 will cover the third book, which is the only one I haven't read yet.

Funny, I was just talking to a guy about Silo. Brilliant idea, terrible casting, worse writing, insipid acting. The books address 2 of the 3 problems, and it's possible the books are good and the screenwriting is just sh-t.

Yes. And yes.

Tradition!

It was worse because everybody on the planet was waiting for Tiny Horse 3. Floppy Hair probably thinks he's got plenty more chances. I wouldn't count on it. His 15 minutes may be just about up.

Who is floppy hair?

Watched the 50 Years of SNL Music last night. It was really good. I’m assuming they pulled out all the stuff about music because the 50th anniversary special on Feb 16 would be 11 hours long if they didn’t! Some cool behind the scenes stuff about Sinead O’Connor and Rage Against the Machine. If you can catch it on Peacock I highly recommend it.

Who is floppy hair?

Our bestest boy!

He was great as the bungee instructor. And my god Chloe Fineman is still a sex kitten while Heidi Gardner, well, you had your day, girl. Time waits for no one.
