TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

He doesnt...maybe watch an interview with him some time. (Like a long form one) He is just a depressive self hater who likes sabotaging stuff.

As per usual you are just reading way too much into something that isn't as clever as you think it is.

I looked up what other shows Harmon has done. Laser Fart must be a classic

Yes. There is so much in the show that is hilarious.

Backstory and A Dark Quiet Death are also incredible episodes, and for genuine drama too.

S1/S2 are genius. S3 is cringe. S4 is coming and I assume it will be doghs-t. It's too bad; I thought McElhenney was self aware enough to avoid tarnishing his art, but I thought Roiland and Harmon were too.

Rewatching Dinner party now. Completely forgot about poppy advertising dinner party as DP and making the promo for “sweet DP action”

Community had a great 2.5 seasons followed by decent to good 3.5 seasons. The turnover in the main cast threw off the chemistry, as did Harmon’s spat with Chase ruining that character. And the biggest misstep was turning Chang from a good villain teacher foil to mentally ill chaos agent. Ken Jeong did well with what he was given but they really ruined what they had with him.

I like that earlier in the Nazis bracket the Israelis advance past the Trolls. (The Israelis are only knocked out by Pedophiles.)

Also nice that in the First Round Cannibals took down PETA.

Full bracket here, I can't copy the image.

Bad sisters season two wrapped up, nicely done. There will be no season 3 because the euros generally know when to end a show

Harrison ford stole the finale of shrinking

Watched the Americans again over break. What a show. And yes, near universal praise and acclaim, other then our resident Keri Russel hater.

the music! Opening action scene in pilot such a banger, set to Fleetwood extended version of Tusk.

Yaz playing as operations play out

Fleetwood again, this time the chain during an op
Tainted love while someone is being strangled
under pressure
In the air tonight
major tom
who by fire (Leonard cohen)
dire straits brothers in arms - just perfect
and then the final song. Good ole U2

Good 80's soundtrack for that show

A Man on the Inside isn't anywhere as good as The Good Place but it's sweet (albeit veering into maudlin) and Ted Danson should be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

And it has The Waitress!

Started watching The Diplomat last night. It was pretty good., especially after I got by viewing the President as Lenny from Laverne and Shirley. It had a bit of a Homeland feel, even though I read the Exec Producer is a former West Wing writer.

Just wrapped up Season 1 of THE FRANCHISE on Max.

Very solid A. Daniel Bruhl and Richard E Grant chew the scenery as the entire premise satirizes the current state of Hollywood and what goes on with all the "behind the scenes" drama in the world of superhero filmmaking. They blend the line between having stuff be so outrageous, but also be directly taken from real life occurrence (This probably plays better if you do have some background in the day to day news that comes out of the MCU/DC world as these movies are developed). But still just a solid look into "how the sausage is made" with Hollywood in general. Didn't really pull any punches since it focused mostly on Marvel.

The 8 episodes flowed very well and were super easy to knock out a couple at a time (30 min run times).

You shut your (I'm sure very pretty) whore mouth.

Michael McKean is a national treasure.

The Diplomat is what if Homeland had a sense of humor about itself. And was good. And by good I mean was self-aware that it's stupid and stood on the bar with its junk hanging out saying "Whatever! Fight me!"

Keep watching. It only gets better!!!

Michael Mckeen is a goddam treasure

chicanery!!

squid game 2 was alright. Episode one was good, but show faltered after that whenever it wasn’t focused on the games.

the trans character was my fave

People are mad that it ended on a cliffhanger and it’s “incomplete” but that’s nothing new these days. I’ll watch season 3 when it comes out this summer (and I believe that’s supposed to be it for the main show and I have zero interest in spinoffs)
