I totally agree. I'd love to know the story behind it, but of course we're never going to hear it from Tiger.

I wish we could hear from Elin but I’m sure her settlement means she’ll never say a word

As of this moment two different networks on my teevee are carrying two different cornhole tournaments.

Is this an elaborate joke?

They've gotten oddly popular this last year, maybe they were easier to hold during the pandemic and plus nothing else was on for awhile.

Watched Part 2 of the Tiger series. Just as interesting as Part I, and certainly well worth a watch if you have HBO.

Really good. Both tiger and Rachel just had kind of sad upbringings...she wanted to stop being known as a home wrecker but just got caught again with another married guy. I also found her face distracting because it looked like so much work had been done.

Holy shit hooties comments after his arrest didn’t age well. I forgot how racist and ridiculous those comments were

See that doc backed up everything I have thought about the guy since 2010...I don't trust a thing he says, the persona he puts out or the emotions he shows. Everything about him is cold and calculated and there only to prop up his brand and his greatness. He is incapable of even understanding what love is and he has proven that over and over again. He spit on and cut out almost everyone in his life he supposedly cared about and didn't even give them the courtesy of doing it to their face. The coward sent a letter or had his lawyers call. His announcement after being caught with Rachel Uchatel is probably the most honest he ever was in that he apologized to business partners first and then his family. I don't think he ever really took responsibility, he never sounded sincere when he tried. It sounds scripted and cold and his little vacation to fight his sex addiction was hardly any real form of trying to fix yourself. I believe sex addiction is a thing...he didn't have it though. That was just an excuse for the fact that he got caught using his celebrity to bang women. he is no different than every rock star ever. It isn't addiction, it is power. Sex addicts do dangerous things to get off and they go through serious withdrawals when they cant get a fix just like drug addicts. He just wanted some strange. That is fine but own that. Sex addicts don't pretend to love their strange, it is about that moment. It isn't a relationship or an affair.

And for all the talk about race (and good God Augusta was definitely racist AF that press conference was AWFUL) he got away with all the same stuff White Athletes get away with. He was coddled the same way, his transgressions were overlooked for years the same way and he got his redemption the same way. (twice) Hell a few of them were still almost excusing his behavior in the doc...even kind of blaming Tiger's mistreatment of women on the fact his father was like that. Tiger didn't bang Perkins waitresses and escorts in Vegas because his dad did it...he did it because he was Tiger *** Woods and he could. He was acting out against the fraudulence of the character he was playing on TV and the remnants of humanity were struggling to break through. He would have done that if his father was a teetotalling pastor who was always faithful. And that is fine I never cared if he whored himself out (I think many of us would have!!) that is for his wife to care about...but don't say in every interview family comes first and then tell like a dozen women how much you love them and and not your wife. Get a divorce and move on.

I think the doc showed that Tiger, while having one of the greatest runs in any sport that will ever be seen (which was fun as hell to watch when it happened) everyone he let in close (that he didn't kick to the curb) during that time and in the lead up did nothing to prepare him for a life outside of golf. His parents did him a massive disservice especially his father. It is a testament to his greatness he was able to compartmentalize the way he did but in truth I just feel he is closer to a sociopath than anything because of it. Whether it was that letter he sent to his first gf which sounded more like a cease and desist order, or firing Stevie, or cutting out his best friend...he just doesn't understand what caring for someone means. I hope he cares for his kids, but honestly I doubt he does. I think they are a prop to him, a motivation to be great again and a way to show the world he is a good person.

And honestly, for as awesome as seeing him win again was (despite my thinking he is kind of garbage as a man...which I think about a lot of athletes so no biggie) it probably was the worst thing for him. I think it is probably in his best interest to retire and continue working on fixing what Earl and Tilda broke inside him. He is about to have another back surgery (his fifth) so it is going to be hard enough not to fall back into his addictions but he is at a point where the end of his career is closer than he thinks anyway and the last time he was faced with that he ended up arrested.

edit: The irony is, the very thing that lead him to be within earshot of Jack's records, is the very reason he will never get there. My might be the most talented player to ever play, but his ego is exactly why he will never end up being the GOAT. Jack's record will stand.

Nickelodeon's "Doug" turns 30 this year.

I'd like to think Doug and Patty eventually got married, Skeeter moved in next door, and Roger became an alcoholic who now facilitates AA meetings.

Roger also found Jesus and is eager to tell everyone about how The Lord and the 12 Steps saved his life, so he basically became a 180 degree different kind of insufferable.

I also think Judy went on to a successful career in the arts, there was a recession and Beebe's family became poor, and Mr. Bone was fired after taking the discipline one step too far.

I had no idea Norm Macdonald had a 1 season run on Netflix of 9 or 10 episodes similar to his podcast. I love Norm and he didn't disappoint. Guests included David Spade, Letterman, Jane Fonda, M Knight, etc. The guests were hit or miss but overall the show delivered.

Macdonald is proof that there are just enough smart people to get a guy who won't dumb it down on teevee but not enough to keep him there.

I don't know if anyone else has been watching this, but on the Vice network they've been showing a three part series on Qanon, it's origins, etc... They've had interviews with many of the major "players," or at at least suspected "players" and it's been interesting. Part 1 was on Tuesday, Part 2 last night, and the final part tonight. However, the nice thing is that they've been running the previous parts right before the new part, so you can catch up if you haven't been watching.

Do they talk about how all QAnon is is the Protocols of the Elders of Zion brought into the 21st Century? QAnon is literally Russian Propaganda from the late 19th Century.

"The Trump Show" from BBC has been quite good. S1 had 3 episodes, S2 just aired #1 on the 19th and it was very well done.

Cool. Thanks for the heads up!

Learning anything about your brethren? ;-)
