Wife and I started watching Alchemy of Souls on Netflix. So far it's a lot like a Korean Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but feels like there's some Game of Thrones-esque political games waiting in the background (only 2 out of 30 episodes in, they release 2 episodes per week). Cast includes a bunch of bigger name Korean actors.

We'll see where it goes, but so far it's keeping our interest.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.

Korean supernatural realism shows are fascinating. Dickensian poverty, Kissingerian real politik, and Dokkaebi!

The Umbrella Academy S3 has been pretty good. I'm 6 episodes in, my fiance already finished it. Five and Lila are still the best characters in the whole thing, particularly when forced to work together. Ben is a cartoon a55hole in this timeline but it works. Viktor & Harlan's arc is really good. A couple things I don't like - one, what they did with Allison this season, though I understand why she would behave the way she has been. Two, Luther is his usual "Meathead with a Heart of Gold" and his Romeo & Juliet plot with Sloane is annoying and predictable as fuck, but you can fast-forward through their scenes when it gets unbearable and hey, backslap to the big guy for finally getting laid. ;-)

Ditto on the thanks for the suggestion.

Cannot believe after the abomination that was S3 that Westworld has made a S4.

I cannot believe that they have completely destroyed the greatest character ever created for Television. Destroyed in Season 3 and somehow the actress is still appearing in season 4. I have to say though that conceptually I like where season 4 appears to be going better than I liked anything from Season 3. Maybe season 3 was the unfortunate bridge to what Season 4 and future seasons could bring.

Dark Winds. 6-part series that takes place in Navajo Nation in 1971 New Mexico. A murder mystery thriller based upon the book that also inspired the 2002 film Skinwalkers. E1 was very compelling and hopefully the momentum carries through.
