TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Holy hell does Don Draper need to get his sh*t together. It used to be funny, back during Season 4, when he came home stumbling drunk every other episode. Now, it's actually depressing to watch his alcoholic behavior. Not even bothering with a glass anymore, just a big swig straight from the bottle, then the rest into a convenient Coke can.

Yep. Hence my (what I think is sorta obvious) prediction in post #771 in this thread.

USA has really dropped. Guess airing endless reruns of L&O and NCIS episodes cuts into your numbers...

I would have thought AMC would be higher. Comedy Central must be flat until 11PM, then a sharp spike for an hour then it craters again.

Speaking of Comedy Central, that reminds me: After Colbert leaves for CBS the 11:30 slot will be filled by host Larry Wilmore and his new show, The Minority Report.

AMC has some original stuff, but the rest is older movies with massive commercial breaks.(100 minute movie that runs 2.5 hours)

Yup, Don is Don. However...the ending of tonight's ep...is he really gonna man up for the long run? Frankly, I think the intro sequence to the episodes tells the ending of the series (insert Captain Obvious): he's gonna jump.

That's an interesting theory - especially considering they gave him Lane's office. ;)

ABC picked up Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a 2nd season while greenlighting Agent Carter as well... Not sure I like the idea of taking the comic book stuff to a network.... These series have potential, but I feel they need to be edgier... They would be a much better fit on a network FX or AMC... With Marvel's series coming out on Netflix next year, it's gonna be interesting to compare the two outlets...

That is the way it is now. DC has Arrow and The Flash on CW, Gotham on Fox, Constantine on NBC and iZombie as well.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

All I want is one more year of Surviving Jack. But since I love that show, it's already doomed. I haven't latched onto a series in the last five or six years that lasted more than a year save for Person of Interest, Agents of SHIELD, Chicago Fire/PD, and... well, I'm struggling to remember any others...

Among those I've killed off:
Touch
Almost Human
Last Resort
Monday Mornings
The Good Guys
Alcatraz
Terra Nova
Pushing Daisies (barely survived after season 1)

I'm sure there are plenty more on cable I can't remember.

I'm at a 50% kill rate for shows I've watched starting from the beginning, since I got back into TV shows:

Alcatraz
The Americans

House Of Cards doesn't really count, because it took quite a while for me to give in and start watching it, and then I just marathoned it, as it was intended to be. :)

Justified is an odd one. Caught up with it to watch this season live, and then found out that next season is the last, and not the 7th season, as originally planned. I guess you could say I winged that bird.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Meanwhile, Parks and Rec is officially ending after this season. Better now than too late, but after Community's cancellation, this now gives me almost zero reasons to watch NBC.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Bummer. I thought they said after the finale they'd be back.

60 Minutes Spurts had solid stories on analytics in sports and in the US soccer team leading up to Brazil.

I'm really liking Silicon Valley. They are doing a great job of setting up characters playing of each other.
