At least we have won multiple NCAA games and been to a Frozen Four in the last ten years.

I always will be happy with last years Final Five championship because we were the first play in team to win it all. Nothing was better than seeing Gopher fans eat crow when they said we will not win it all! :D

It should be a interesting series. The Huskies played well at Miami two weeks ago, but couldn't get it done. Last weekend they played like s**T on Friday and better but not great on saturday. I haven't seen UMD play this year but from what I read they seem to playing well. Hopefully the Huskies can use the big ice to their advantage and get a much needed sweep this weekend.

At least we can agree on one thing: seeing those guys look like idiots makes us smile. :)

I don't recall this specifically, but given it had never been done before it's probably not very likely that those that predicted against it followed just one team. Even less likely would be SCSU fans at the forefront of championing your cause. :D

If you guys had won that year you had the barn burner w/the Gophers, you'd have felt like we felt. It was pretty incredible.
And, I'm sorry, but that photo of tUMD celebrating and FTLT and his wife looking grumpy is so glorious.

I will say this, and knocking on wood mind you, but I do believe the days of UMD finishing 8 and 9 on a regular basis are gone for now. Sandy has done a fantastic job recruiting the past few years and with the new arena I see this staying the same. Now that I say that we will lay an egg this weekend.

I am excited to see UMD's offense on this big sheet, at the same time I am very scared to see our defense. We have at least 2 defensemen that are very "slow afoot." Closing the gap on the big ice will be testy. Add that to basically a freshman goalie in this environment spells disaster. If UMD can get a 2 goal cushion right out of the gate I would feel much better. They have the offense to do it, but do we have the defense to keep the other team from scoring on a big sheet is yet to be see.


On a side note, I just got to feel my babies kick for the 2nd time tonight. It rocks! Yes, babies I said.

I agree, tUMD needs to score early. SCSU is not Mankato.

They are up on campus practicing on the big sheet, and I hope that every guy who was on the team last year remembers what happened when we went up there last year. *edit* Biddco gave me this info.

I hope Mr. Raboin is there!
