tUMD @ UW (Nov. 19th and 20th)

Re: tUMD @ UW (Nov. 19th and 20th)

Someone should start a thread about how Eaves makes **** up as he goes along.

really?

gimme a break. that's just straight up childish.

however since that's the path you wish to take

how about we start a thread about how Mike Eaves has more national titles as a coach than Scott Sandelin. how's that grab ya?

then we'll start a thread about how Mike Eaves has more national titles as a player than Scott Sandelin. even better?

good grief. tUMD sweeps wisconsin in Madison and we have to put up with sore winners, that's class really.

No not really. I just posted that to a rise out of someone.

It worked.

Although Eaves has an interesting history as a coach.

Re: tUMD @ UW (Nov. 19th and 20th)

well good job. why doesn't your fanbase win w/class?

good god

They're still figuring this "winning" thing out. It's been almost 40 years since our first title. We've got quite a head start.

Sorry but nothing, and I mean nothing, can compare to seeing your team win the first title. So... pretty much only Phil can say he was alive to remember that.

Hey, your coach was the one to start the never-before-heard rumour about "off-ice issues." We're merely escalating.

I can see where you might say that, but you can't quantify it or prove it.

Born in 69, I didn't see the first 11 (?) Packer world championships, but I can assure you that the one in '97 (96 season) was incredibly fun and rewarding for me considering the hardships I went through as a Packer fan growing up.

I also was not alive in '62 when the Blackhawks last won the Cup. I experienced even more heartache with them over the years as they were legit contenders at times only to fail in the end. Last year's Cup victory was as sweet as sweet can be.

I don't think that either of those would have been even a little sweeter had they been those franchises first titles.

I've been around and aware of Badger hockey since the early 80s and the title in 06 was just as sweet as 90 and the two in the 80s. In fact, it may have even been better as it had been 16 years.

P.S. The thing about waiting for your first title, about not yet having one, is that you may never get one. EVER.

you should actually know whether there were "off-ice" issues or not prior to accusing Eaves of making this up. and since both Eaves and Crandall won't comment further you'll never know so take your wins this weekend and can it about about Eaves since you're talking out of your a**. he's the best coach in college hockey IMO, his track record speaks for itself.

all the people whining about him just come across as bitter ***holes. and in this case for no good reason since your team just swept. good job. now win w/class and shut-up already.

Re: tUMD @ UW (Nov. 19th and 20th)

One thing is for sure, if you want a coach who will beat up your players, Mike Eaves is your man.

ahem. If you want a coach who will condone boarding players and running people w/intent to injure (see Brendan Smith video) then HACKstol is your man

I wasn't aware solovsfett was a Sioux fan...way to bring up national titles. Go sioux?

Then when we are done we can start a thread about how when eaves is mad at his players he just "smacks" them around and still manages to keep his job. Eaves beats his players.

the only people to whine about hearing about national titles are the ones who do not have any....now go find other reasons to hang a banner like st cloud

Re: tUMD @ UW (Nov. 19th and 20th)

I don't see anyone complaining about titles, all I see is Bulldog fans sticking up for our goalie after Eaves decided to start this "off-ice" issues. We got the sweep and are excited about it I haven't seen anything that says we are winning with out class. But I do see Badger fans getting mad for us sticking up for our players.

Re: tUMD @ UW (Nov. 19th and 20th)

I'm sorry, but I don't really see what Mike Eaves hitting his players has to do with this weekend. If we want to talk about that, we should make another thread. Glad we got out of Madison with the sweep, could have easily been a split or worse. A little ref help didn't hurt, although they did miss some easy calls on Wisconsin this weekend.

This being said Wisconsin fans, you do have a lot to look forward to and build on. You pushed the #1 team in the nation to overtime both nights. There were times were both teams looked great, and times were both were sloppy.

Having a good start to the season is great. We are receiving the accolades we should be. I'm enjoying us being there, but no need to act like the titles already in Duluth when we're only in November.

Listen, honey, why don't you go take a Xanax or something?

I love how bringing up Eaves's rude, snotty comments after the game is perceived as winning without class. Winning with class doesn't mean allowing opposing fans, media, players or coaches to take potshots at our team simply because you lost.
