Final: Norwich 3 - Middlebury 1

They reversed what they did in the NSB - this time they started slow and finished well in the third. I like Czarnotta in net.

This is tough, having to schedule dinner around games. I wish we'd start games at 9:00 EST instead of 7:00 :D

So many ranked teams looked as if they were going to lose tonight, however they prevailed. What a Tuesday night!

Final from MCC in Rochester, NY.

Nazareth 4
Cortland St. 3 -Final

Utica could have been #1 in the computer rankings ... but Norwich kicked it into gear.

May not look like much but games like this help out the UC and Hobarts of the world...

To NUProf, eat earlier, or later. It's been that way here for years. We've established a "tradition", pizza or chili capable of being consumed in front of a compter screen. ;-)

I wasn't able to watch the Bowdoin game tonight, but after looking at the box score, it looks like Meagher gave guys some minutes who don't normally get many. I don't know how much that played a factor in the close encounter tonight, but nice to see they stayed undefeated.

Gotta convince the wife - she let me leave our baby watching duties with the twins early today so I could watch the game, but in return I had to cook dinner.

Ah. Yes. About that. About a couple minutes in, Basso went in on the goaltender, and I don't know if he clipped the goaltender with a knee or a skate or if he hit the back of his head on the pipe, but the goaltender went down and did not get back up. Nothing dirty, no penalty, and not worthy of one, either. No one took any exception whatsoever. He was down for a while, and if I had to make a (halfway) educated guess, he was a bit woozy after he got back up. Now, after talking briefly with his coach (read: I was standing there while someone else asked him about his goaltender) the coach told us "he was little sore before the game, and had a stiff neck, that's all". *shrug*

His replacement played a really nice game. The two goals he gave up came in high, and then we added an empty netter in the last minute.

Two words: crock pot. Meat up top, vegetables on the bottom, enough water to cover said veggies. Start at 10-11 AM. Dinner can be served anytime after 5-6 PM.

It looks like the rookie netminder had to come in for Haude, who had been playing really well lately. Let's hope Rubeniuk has been getting healthy over the break. I guess we'll learn more against Franklin Pierce on Friday.

What was Geneseo's goaltender situation? The box score says the starter played 2 minutes and made one save before coming out.
