Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

change spring break to Final Five

(203):

spring break forecast: sunny with a chance of ****show

203 is in Connecticut, what did he expect for a spring break forecast, Sunny and temps in the 80's?!?

Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

Good to know. One of my I-DEAS customers was Pettibone up in Houghton. I-DEAS was really good for its time but then the stock owners sold out to UG, made their cash, and subsequently destroyed the program.

Unigraphics is pretty awful.
By the time I learned it I think it was way past its prime. It seemed very clunky and cumbersome. I don't imagine that it is used anywhere anymore.

By today's standards no question. It peaked about oh, 1997-2000 timeframe I want to say.

You'd be surprised.

Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

Ah yes, CAD. I remember those days. AutoCAD wasn't so bad, I thought, but things I was using it for were fairly simple.

There's no chance involved. It WILL be a *show. :D

Closed circuit to legal: unless the hotel I am at has a computer in the lobby or something, you'll have to step up and post the Friday notice.

Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

Ordered some prints from KodakGallery.com earlier this afternoon. Entire order shipped within an hour and a half of placing the order. Not bad.

Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

I feel I must try this...

(803): For the record, a bath beer is far superior to a shower beer...

And, well, yes, but that's beside the point:

(919): It has to be really easy to get midgets drunk.

A bath beer? That's just a smidge away from a hot tub beer. While nice, it's hardly as awesome as a showerbeer. ;)

Time to go see the infamous tree in North Dakota! If any of you hear a faint obscenity-laden rant from that area, it's probably me. I'll apologize in advance.

I'm not sure I buy this. One of the good things about a shower beer is that the room is hot and steamy but the beer is cold. I don't think the room stays as hot and steamy if you're taking a bath.

They have a tree now? Aw, good for them!

Will do, it just might not be until 10 am or so. :)

Maybe it's me but I took bath beer as a bath in a tub of beer. I'm sure I'm wrong though.

On a completely separate note, that Michael Strahan commercial for Sports Authority is kinda lame. So, I'm going to go eat my leftover Chinese food now. Yes I'm a little buzzed. Why do you ask?

Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

Solidworks is great for machine design but I'm dealing with Bentley Autoplant and 3D pipe design and pipe isometrics. Solidworks and Pro/E are not really designed for this kind of stuff.

There's an episode of Three Sheets where Zane does that. Prague, maybe.

Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

I hate to interrupt all this techie engineer talk, but in case you hadn't noticed....

<MARQUEE>IT'S FRIDAY!!!</MARQUEE>

And for the first time in weeks, I felt good this morning when I woke up and I only got 7 hours of sleep. :)

Re: TRP: These Ides Have Seen A Lot Of Loves...

Still can't run Bentley on that. As far as I know. Plus most of our clients don't use Revit (if any at all).

REVIT is from Autodesk. It's fairly new but really cool. Bentley is a completely different company.

Autodesk = AutoCAD
Bentley = Microstation
