Liriano is what? 8-0 since the ASB? Duensing has been fantastic as well. Pavano, while not pitching as well as he did earlier in the year is still reliable.

Blackburn and baker can put together a gem or two every so often.

Liriano-Duensing-Blackburn is a solid playoff rotation (although I doubt Gardy will drop Pavano). Blackburn was great for a month and then awful, but it's clear that he's rediscovered his sinker since being sent down to the minors.

not that the Yankees don't have a solid rotation themselves...it's just too bad Jeter can't hit for *t and A-Rod is batting .270

Yeah, but he's already been cast in the next Scorsese movie, he doesn't need to hit anymore. :rolleyes:

In other news, I bought expensive jeans yesterday for the first time in my life. Holy *t, there's expensive man jeans out there. Christ.

I'll spend about $35 on a pair of Levi's. If I need something nicer than that, I'll grab a pair of khakis.

You're hardly the first man to spend more money than usual on clothing in order to make a woman happy (whether it's to look nice with Quiz in your engagement shoot or whether it's a single guy trying to look nice in bars or whatever). I buy most of my jeans for pretty cheap at the Gap (the pair I'm wearing right now were $35 from them online), but I've bought a couple of "nice" pairs in the $50-100 range before. Honestly, they're jeans and I'm not convinced there's much difference, even in terms of their appearance. (Contrast that with dressy shoes, where a more expensive pair might look better, feel more comfortable, and last longer.)

(Men's dressy shoes, that is; as I understand it from hearing people complain, women's dressy shoes get less comfortable as they get more expensive.)
