Re: TRP: Insert Tasteless Title Here

****, you can get a good pair of Wrangers for $20 at Fleet Farm! They're even BrettFavre approved!

Re: TRP: Insert Tasteless Title Here

.
They're jeans - they wear out, they get dirty, etc. Why would you spend 216$ on pants?

My thoughts exactly.

I'll spend up to $60 but that's because it's hard to find jeans that fit me well.

For guys jeans, I agree.

I have that same problem as well, though I have been having decent luck with Target's Mossimo brand in the last few years, and before that I swore by Gap and Old Navy (and we have Outlet stores in my hometown, so the prices there were much lower than in the regular stores.)
I always, always have to hem them, though. Thankfully, I've gotten fairly good at doing that.

Re: TRP: Insert Tasteless Title Here

Jeans are jeans, PERIOD... Once you get above about $40, you don't gain anything in quality, comfort or look, IMO... Want proof?

I had a pair of baggier fitting Arizona jeans ($35) get wedged between the spinning cylinder and the body of the washing machine several years ago... The jeans were ripped where they wedged into the washer... This was at the left pocket, just above the left knee, and lower thigh on the right leg... A friend of mine owned a $165 pair from Abercrombie that was pre-ripped in almost the EXACT SAME PLACES... On a few occasions out on the town, we were both wearing the respective jeans and got comments on how we were wearing the same thing... I have never been happier that my washing machine was a P.O.S. that day :D

This is one thing I just do not understand: why buy clothing that comes pre-ripped?

I'm also refusing to buy in to the skinny jeans trend. I'm sorry, I refuse.

I'm refusing to buy them because, well, I can't fit into them. :o

I, too, cannot see paying that much money for jeans. When Old Navy had their "every pair of jeans is $19" sale, I bought 4 pairs.

I was at a point where the only jeans I coudl rely upon to fit were from Express. When I am ready to buy clothes again, I am going to try Target and see how they fit before heading back to Express.

Agree on both counts. You should earn the rips in your jeans, not buy them.

I haven't shopped at Express in a while, but I would imagine they're in the $50-$60 range there.
