Re: TRP: Insert Tasteless Title Here

In fact, they recognized the forward pass just last year!

IALTO. :p

Top performing at the RB and WR/TE positions that are FAs in our league:

RB
1 (tie). Peyton Hillis, John Kuhn

WR/TE
1. Marcedes Lewis
2 (tie). John Butler, Mohammed Massoquai, Dexter McCluster, Mark Clayton, Brandon Lloyd, Bo Scaife, Roscoe Parrish

Re: TRP: Insert Tasteless Title Here

We're, as a league, smart and know our football, despite any perceived archaicness with our scoring system. :p
You are smart because you know when a guy is out for the year you should probably find a new RB?

The smart bar has been lowered apparently.

I'm not saying the people in your league are dumb, I'm saying your rules are incredibly ****ing dumb.

Re: TRP: Insert Tasteless Title Here

So guessing which starting running back is going to get injured and pickinig his backup late makes someone smart?

Um, you have zero reading comprehension. While many teams are scrambling in the Jackson sweepstakes, someone in our league already had drafted him, thinking ahead. :p

The benefit of having a terrible fantasy team, I won the Jackson sweepstakes! Go me!

I'm confortable with my current running backs, didn't even try. If I could pick up a new WR, on the other hand, I'd jump at the opportunity.

Anyway, since it's just past 9/11, the crazy crazy conspiracy morons have all come back out.

I'm torn between being amused by them and being terrified at their wanton stupidity.

A buck. I'll charge you a buck.
Speaking of bucks, I went out scouting last night after work, found a great place to put my tree stand. I think it will be a weekend project to put something up. Also considering building a hunting shack of some kind out there, but that might be too much to get done before the season.

One of these years I should take hunter safety.

/files that in the circular file labeled "One of these years", along with all the other things I've said I should do

I took it when I was 12. Do you even need to take the course if you're over 18, to get a license? (even if it is legal, I think everyone should attend a firearm safety course, even if you don't plan on hunting)

no, you do not. But yes, everyone should take a firearms safety course, regardless of you feelings towards firearms. That reminds me, I need to go requal next month. Time to fire hundreds of rounds at the taxpayers expenses. :D

In Michigan, the law says you must show a firearm or hunter education certificate to purchase a hunting license if you were born after January 1, 1960. In practice, the store usually doesn't ask to see it if you appear to be over 40.

Many states have a similar law, but only strictly enforce it on non-resident hunters. A decade ago when my dad took his first hunting trip to Colorado, he had to get a new card before he left because he'd lost track of the one he got in 7th grade, and the guide told him that the license retailer would ask for it even though he was born in 1957.

You have to carry a special card? I just have it listed on my drivers license that I have completed firearm safety.
