Well, that's dam scary (probably for both of us) that I agree with Swanted on some music.:eek:

Have to admit I had not heard Porcupine Tree, but they sounded pretty good on this crappy little speaker on the laptop. There are a fav of the French teacher trainee who lived with us a few years back, but I never heard them.

I haven't had a BSOD in the 6-7 years that I've used WinXP. Used to get them regularly with 98 and ME though.

Vista occasionally locks up, but I can't remember an honest-to-God BSOD on this computer. As bad as people say this OS is, it's nothing compared to WinME.

My favorite was busting out the pictures I took from my uptime records back in college when I left the computer on 24/7. I think I went like a month without a restart (before the power went out) and another time I went well over two months without a restart. And this was my computer that I used for gaming, homework, etc. throughout college. This was an XP with a P4 2.667 and a gig of memory. Hell the thing had an AGP 4x graphics card. I still use that thing.

I have those on one of my old hard drives. I should probably dig those up next time someone whines about windows. :D

Yeah, XP was pretty good like that. This is a Vista laptop and it generally has been stable. The computer has been running pretty hot lately, though, I wonder if that's related. Any way to make sure that the dinky internal fan in this thing is running as best it can?

I run a cooling pad w/my laptop. The change in streaming/running a lot of stuff is very noticeable after a bit.

Oh f*k I forgot I upgraded my XP to vista... Oh well. I'll up that to 7 here within a few weeks. I've just been using my work laptop for my main computer over the past six or seven months. (it's still that dinosaur xp box I mentioned above. it just keeps on kicking.)

Actually, used the Best Buy card to get the zero interest for everything for 18 months.

Just want to say: for all of the mocking of my league, Brandon Jackson (GB; Ryan Grant's backup) is the hot pickup of the week. He was drafted around the 7th round in our draft, while he was available (that I saw) in my other two leagues (both 12 teams, like my main league).
