I've heard about that one, too. Most of my downtown experiences have been at Lion's, and then along 1st Ave.

I usually stay along 1st ave.
Also, I went to Kieran's with MNS and SoH a couple weekends ago, first time I'd been there. That is a pretty awesome Irish Pub. It would be even better if we would have gotten there in time to get a table.

I have been to the old Kieran's once or twice, back in the day, and yes, great pub. Loved when the band played "F* The British Army."

Trust me, Boy Scouting isn't sexy, unless you fantasize about immature, pimply-faced boys playing Magic: The Gathering.

(Though, there were some very attractive young women that worked at Scout camps. )

There were a few of us that were interested in those attractive young women and couldn't give two ****s about Magic: The Gathering. We were a minority though.

I was a Boy Scout. All we cared about was setting fire to things, building Vietnam-type traps and pits, etc. And women too, but those were rare at the camps.

hahaha, I found my old pog collection a month or two ago when i was cleaning out the closet. (Found a **** ton of valuable baseball cards too. Oliva topps rookie, Ken Griffey Jr. "pre-rookie", signed kent hrbek 1991 card, and basically every topps factory set from '86 to '96, among so many more).

hahaha, I found my old pog collection a month or two ago when i was cleaning out the closet. (Found a **** ton of valuable baseball cards too. Oliva topps rookie, Ken Griffey Jr. "pre-rookie", signed kent hrbek 1991 card, and basically every topps factory set from '86 to '96, among so many more).

Psst, Topps 87 until well, prob now, suck arse. Too mass produced. Maybe some update sets cards are worth something, but for the most part they are more valuable as toilet paper.

If you have questions on cards from 95 or before, I could probably answer them.

Yeah, I figured that out pretty quickly when new sets were selling for like $25. However, the fact that we still have that many sets was pretty awesome.

The baseball card market really crashed out in '92, and hasn't been back since. There was just too much crap on the market.

I've still got my older stuff, from the 60's and such. I don't intend to get rid of any of that stuff.

Why bother? It'll take at least two pitchers to make you forget that you're in Houghton by choice.

There are others up there to ask, I think crazypotatoes will be there still, don't know what his living situation would be, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm living in the apartments on the waterfront down by the Super 8. Couch and floorspace will be available.

Does the Upslut still have quarters on Thursdays? I drank too many of those ****ty beers trying to kill off a platter someone bought, that **** was nasty. But still, it was only a quarter each.

Yeah, they still have quarter beer night. I haven't been there on a Thursday for a while, but I believe they got rid of the cover charge too.

Speaking of trading cards. I am selling off my entire collection of NHL cards. if anyone is looking for anything from the 90's or this decade let me know and if I like you enough (the threshhold here is really low), I'll send the stuff to you for the cost of shipping.

(yes, I'm serious. The cards were a gift from an ex-bf. So they didn't cost me anything and I am storing enough crap.)
