Ya, I had symptoms for about a month with it. Granted, I didn't go get any prescriptions for it, but it still whipped my ***, and I rarely get sick.
I think after avoiding it for this long, I'm finally getting that cold that's been going around. Crap.

However, a day later, I'm starting to think what I have may be bronchitis or the like rather than a cold, since this seems awfully localized to my throat. No real cough, not much sneezing, no stuffy nose.
Yeah, the thing that's struck me about this winter's cold (is the cold like the flu, in that there's a different strain each winter, and basically everyone who gets the flu in a given winter has the same strain?) is that it seems to linger and hit people again after they think they're done with it.

So I'm looking into bus trips to Atlantic City, in case I want to go down there for the ECAC tournament in a couple of weeks. (Yes, I know, I said "go down".) I've observed that no matter who you buy your bus ticket from (New Jersey Transit, Greyhound, Megabus), they only sell them as a single-fare round trip. I like how presumably that's so you don't buy a one-way ticket, lose all your money, and get stranded.

No. Colds can be caused by a LOT of viruses. My off the cuff guess is there are dozens - if not hundreds - of viral combinations that can give you a cold. So there is no dominant strain. And thus, there is no shot offered to prevent the transmission of colds.
