Top Freshmen

Re: Top Freshmen

For Ferris State Defensemen Scott Czarnowczan should be a good addition played last year with Green Bay of the ushl put up solid number as well with 2 goals and 18 assists while being plus 21. Up front Corey Kane looks to be a solid forward played last year in the Bchl with vernon and put up 24 goals and had 41 assists.

Re: Top Freshmen

For UAA I'd list 3 rookie players with resumes' that say they should do well ...

Defenseman Wes McLeod who had 18g-62a in 153 games with Prince George in the BCHL ... was also named to the six player all-tournament World Jr. A Challenge team from his silver medal Canada West squad. Forward Matt Bailey was a Canada West U-17 and played one year in the MJHL followed by 2 years in the USHL with Tri-City and Sioux Falls scoring 27g-47a in those two seasons. Brett Cameron (All-Rookie and All-Star) from the AJHL's Spruce Grove Saints with 55g-82a in 144 games.

There's a couple of other potential gems in our 10 strong freshman class.

Re: Top Freshmen

For DU keep your eyes on the following 5 frosh

F Beau Bennett (1st Round 2010 NHL Draft)
F Jason Zucker (2nd Round 2010 NHL Draft)
G Sam Brittain (4th Round 2010 NHL Draft)
F Nick Shore (Draft eligible in 2011)
D David Makowski (2009/10 USHL Defensman of the Year)

Good chance all 5 will get lots of playing time as freshman with DU's losses to graduation and early pro signings.

du78 is certainly correct about the top 5 Freshmen for DU. But I also like the grit and work ethic of Dan Olszewski.
