Timid Timmay vs. Midget McDonald for a single

Re: Timid Timmay vs. Midget McDonald for a single

Huge win for Maine. Road wins have been few

Wrong again. As usual. "Maine hockey, love it or leave it".

I have my own little internet stalker, I'm honored. Maybe you could add something to the discussion instead of using your great power of hindsight

Add something to the discussion...TF!

UML really didn't seem to generate many quality chances tonight. They had a few five minute or so flurries where they would control the puck in their offensive zone, but really couldnt generate anything offensively. They really didn't get many chances on the PP, but they didn't really look to effective. Maine was the faster team the entire game, and Darling played pretty well tonight to secure the win.

True that. The first power play was pretty awful. Every power play after that was so bad I kept forgetting UML was up a man and wondered why icing wasn't called on Maine.

OK Wally, I'll try. I mean fer Chriss' sakes...UML just lost to PC so they can't be that good. Its obvious we got lucky tonight. I try not to get too excited about road wins in November. I mean, we'll probaly lose to St. Lawrence tomorrow anyway;)

Congrats to Maine on a nice win. They dominated Lowell in every aspect of the game tonight. That had to be the easiest 28 save win in Darling's career.

Good job, Black Bears. Haven't seen such a thorough beating in a long time.

As a Lowell fan, that performance was, in a word, humiliating.

Re: Timid Timmay vs. Midget McDonald for a single

Just got back a while ago. Fun game to watch - for Maine fans, at least.

Lowell was definitely stronger physically. I have no idea why they didn't try to take advantage of it more by dumping and forechecking. Maybe they weren't in the mood to work?

They got a couple decent "one man show" chances by outmuscle-ing Maine defenders, but there wasn't a lot of sustained pressure.

Maine had a jump on Lowell most of the night. The one thing that was annoying was the "prevent defense" in the 3rd period. It worked, though. Maine was able to force Lowell into turnovers in the neutral zone, and managed to score off of one of them...

FYP

He could have had the worst game of his career due to your fixed post above and still won.

He made a few key saves early on, even if Lowell barely threw a shot on him in the first. He also did a good job of not letting up after giving up the first goal, as it seems that once you score one on him, the scoring continues.
